OFFICE OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT
Dear Mr. Cayce:
This should have gone off to you yesterday, but Mr. [
257]
delayed sending me the application. I do hope this will
reach you in time for tomorrow afternoon's reading. You
may recall me from our meeting at your visit in Mr. [
257]'s
home in the fall of '35. That particular evening, aside
from the ladies, there were present Dr. Thind [Dr. Bhagat
Singh Thind], Mr. Edelman [Mr. Abraham Edelman] and myself.
Mr. Edelman was the tall man with glasses, and I the shorter
one.
I am faced with the necessity of making an important business
decision, and need advice - and so want this reading on my
business life: I have been this Company's advertising
Manager since mid-December of 1929, and one of its Executive
Vice-Presidents since January 1st, 1935. I'm not very happy
here. The owners of this business are [...], President;
[
1113], Treasurer; [...], Vice-President and [...] Secretary.
I have under advisement a proposition to become General
Manager of [...]'s, a furniture concern located on ... in
New York City between ... and ... Sts., owned by [...] of
..., N.Y. City. My own business address is above; all other
information on my application.
