This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of June, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [1377].

  1. EC: Yes - these conditions and these surroundings, [1377], we have had before. With the change in the mental attitudes of the body, and with the application of conditions as become conscious experiences with the body, we would apply those things for the physical betterment as the body sees is the conscious activities of same. Astrologically, better after the 17th or 21st.
  2. In the changes, more satisfactory understandings of the fullness of purpose in self, physically and mentally, may be determined by the body. Ready for questions.
  3. (Q) What causes the acute soreness?
    (A) Pressure.
  4. (Q) Is an operation necessary?
    (A) As given.
  5. We are through.

  1. 7/26/29 "I am just convalescing after the removal of a ten pound dermoid cyst-tumor five weeks ago. I had received no appointment card for information in regard to favorable period for operation, so had written an astrologer and made arrangements for the same. When your advice came saying that after the 20th of June would be better, this coincided with the best days given me by astrologer. He gave me June 20th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. It was performed on the 22nd. [GD's note: In filling out a new membership blank 1/26/32, Miss [1377] gave her birth date as May 4, 1865.]
    "A list of radically unfavorable days was given, and a friend, whom I did not know was to have one, was operated on on one of them, passing out."
  2. 10/22/29 "After the prolonged illness I have had and the quite serious operation, I am perhaps doing as well as could be expected. I am, however, quite weak and bloodless."
  3. 1/26/30 She asked that data be sent to a friend regarding EC readings, saying: "This leaves me much better. Pain in abdomen ENTIRELY gone, and pressure on nerves of lumbar region greatly relieved."
  4. 3/27/30 "Sick in bed again. Give reading QUICK. What can I take that my blood will pick up and make more blood? Have almost none. Cough all the time. Throat troubles me and thinner each day. Shall I go out and walk or keep still?"
