5/22/37 Mr. [
257]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Judge:
Enclosed is application and check for a Reading on
Mr. [
1398]. I am extremely anxious that you give a most
careful Reading on this man since it will mean a great deal
to me not only to prove your ability, but this man is
connected with several people who can be of great help to me
and therefore to you. We understand that he has just had a
complete physical examination and no one seems to be able to
discover what is wrong with him. They seem to think that it
might be arthritis. I have given him the booklet on the
subject. However, give him a very thorough physical reading,
going over every part of the body and describe the condition
that exists fully and the method of overcoming it.
We understand that this man's date has been set for Friday
July 2nd. You can give the Reading here in his space ... at
the ... Exchange, ... Ave. Please confirm this appointment,
as we are having him to meet that.
With love to you all
Cordially, [

REPORTS
7/19/37 [
257]'s ltr. to EC: "Mr. [
1398] telephoned me this
morning and told me that his reading was 100%. I suggested
for him to go to Dobbins today and follow it up by going to
Reilly. He has a large group of people to whom he has been
telling about the things that I have told him. He has asked
me to mail two applications today to a friend of his and
would like to have readings as quickly as possible as you
will find them very interesting people to know as well as
the fact that they contact a big group..."
7/22/37 EC's reply: "...Glad to know Mr. [
1398] got
something from his reading - hope he will get the full
benefits, but he will have to make an application..."

Mrs. [
