Dear Mrs. Macsherry:
Enclosed you will find a copy of a Life Reading [1406-1]
sponsored on your membership for [
1406].
We try to use most of the sponsored readings for physical
cases that present a real need but in this instance we felt
that the Life Reading would prove most helpful, and I believe
you will understand this after reading her reading. This
young girl is very psychic. I have worked with her in an
experimental group here in Norfolk on some of the simple
card experiments similar to those being tried in Duke.
She is running an unusually high average. Her family are
interested in the work and will help her to make good use
of her Life Reading. I will keep in touch with you regarding
her work.
Your name was again suggested this year for our Board
of Trustees and the reading checked on it very favorably
[
254-94, Par. 19-A]. I hope you will accept this place on
the Board. Your interest and cooperation in the past has
indicated that you will be most helpful in planning and
directing the activities of the organization in studying
and presenting my father's work. Under separate cover you
will receive a copy of the minutes of the last meeting of
the Board and a brief of the reports submitted. I hope you
will present any questions or suggestions you may have in
mind of the reading on August 3. This series of readings
which we plan for the Trustees will make it possible to have
the readings discuss various activities and plans that may
be presented by members of the Board and get such plans
before the members between semi-annual meetings, which are
held in January and June.
We missed you at the Congress this year. I believe we had a
very successful series of meetings. The interest manifested
showed definite progress. The general report went out with
the last Bulletin which is already in your hands.
You will remember my discussion with you relative to the
Health Home Remedies Corporation. Any assistance you may
render at this time will be appreciated.
Sincerely yours, [signed] Hugh Lynn Cayce
9/16/40 Mrs. [
1406] was not interested in her life reading.
I read it and found many helpful suggestions if she had
chosen to follow them. [Below par. is in Esther Wynne's
handwriting.]
One warning was outstanding, namely - "not to marry young",
which SHE DID in spite of all advice.
Madie Lawrence Old, Investigator
11/11/48 Mrs. [
1406] reported to Harry and Thelma Storey,
workers on the Edgar Cayce Foundation campaign, that it was
impossible for her to contribute at the present time, she was
dependent upon her mother [
1222] who had 10 to support. [Her
mother was separated from [
1406]'s father, and later we heard
that she had married again.]
12/28/70 Death notice of [
1406]'s father gave [
1406] as a
survivor, under another married name.
