This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of July, 1937, in accordance with request made by the family, through Miss [307], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes.
2. As we find, the heart's activity, the circulation - while the heart's activity is rapid, the circulation is poor, the temperature continues to come and go.
3. We will find that the better conditions will be to keep just as quiet as possible, using the stimulations now and then of the burned whiskey (Rye Whiskey). Burn about a tablespoonful in a saucer, and when the light goes out and it is cooled sufficient, drink just about this quantity in small sips - two to three times a day or whenever the body arouses sufficiently.
4. If there is the continuation of the ability for the circulation to hold out, it will be necessary to produce some eliminations by enemas; these cool, not cold but cool.
5. In the diets - just a little of the Beef Juices - these are the more strengthening.
6. Aspirin would tend to make for some sweating, provided the body is kept in such a manner as to not have more of the rigors from perspiration. Five to ten grains - not oftener than two hours, however.
7. And sponging off with a little soda water will be the better.
8. Of course, the alcohol rubs - not rubbed, but the grain alcohol applied across the throat, the head, down the spine - will give some stimulation as well as retard the temperature.

1. 7/25/37 Miss [357]'s letter: "I was in to see Mrs. [1409] for a little while yesterday afternoon - she looks mighty bad, so thin."
2. 7/26/37 Phone request by Mrs. [303]: "We are all so happy over [1409]'s response. She took a turn for the better night before last; we've had everybody under Kingdom Come praying for her. She's real bright and chipper this morning. Guess what she wants to eat? Corn bread and mashed potatoes! Says tell Mr. Cayce she wants to see him tonight when you all come in; said she thinks we are about to "Read" him to death trying to get her well. Please ask these questions this afternoon if you can, and bring the Reading with you when you come tonight. We're afraid to make a move, or give her anything else to eat, unless the Reading says so."
   1. What is her condition at this time? 2. How may the conditions be met in order to bring her body near to normal? 3. Should the enemas be continued, and how often? and should the cold water be used now? 4. Would the medicine prescribed by the physician be beneficial to the body? 5. What foods would be most helpful at this time? 6. Should any solid foods be given? 7. Should the alcohol rubs be continued, and should the grain alcohol still be used in preference to rub alcohol? 8. Would wine be helpful? 9. Would coddled egg be too heavy for her stomach now? 10. Should the Radio-Active Appliance and electrical vibrator be used now, and how? 11. Should the whiskey still be burned for the eggnog before taking? 12. Any other information at this time that would be helpful?
