9/30/37 Brother [
826]'s letter from Wash. D.C.: "Dear Mr.
Cayce: I been so busy with hearings, the market, and [
1419]
that this is my first opportunity to send you that $10 for
the reading. It has not arrived yet, but it stated one thing
especially which I believe is quite important. That was the
implication that her backsets were caused or would be caused
by activity such as sweeping, making beds, etc. She was
getting along fine until we took her home to the farm.
Immediately she started doing various kinds of work each day,
and then her trouble began. We are going to take steps to
put her where she can't work or do anything, and have hopes
she will now get all right. [
816] has now found the
reading. It went to his office at the ... instead of my
office, and he was away."
10/06/37 Brother [
816]'s letter: "Don't know as yet how the
Sister will come out. Her osteopath [Ernest L. Wood, D.O.,
with the Wood Osteopathic Hospital in Bethany, Mo.?] left
town for a time, which may have been responsible for a little
setback, in part, but think she may eventually get all
right."
1/38 Mr. [
826] reported verbally that Mrs. [
1419] died last
fall. He wasn't there to follow the treatment; they wired
they were going to operate, so he felt "What's the use?"
