8/29/37 Mr. [
165]'s letter: "Dear Hugh Lynn, - When you
reach the rdg. for Mrs. [
1438] will you kindly try to get
information regarding two questions in [...]'s reading that
were not answered. The first was whether the winter should
be spent in Texas or California. The question was not clear,
which is of course the reason for no answer. It should say
would Texas be preferable to California?
"The second had to do with Michael. I think the last name
was [...] but am not sure. It could well come in
Mrs. [...]'s rdg. as well as in [...]'s. She accepts the
boy Michael who lives in California as an illegitimate
grandson, son of her dead son [...] [who was drowned in 1928.
Her third son died soon after birth. Only [
1430] is left.]
[...] does not accept the legitimacy [the legitimacy of the
illegitimacy. I did not try to pun, but you know what I
mean.]. She pays a monthly income to the supposed grandson.
This is one of the causes of strife between [...] and his
mother. With this information you can word a question re
Michael that may straighten out the matter.
"P.S. I expect to go to [[
1438]'s estate] in a day or two."
9/04/37 His mother, Mrs. [
1438], obtained a Life Reading for
herself. See
1438-1, Par. 36-A indicating mother and son
should stress their agreements and minimize their
disagreements, learning how to cooperate and be constructive
one with another.
12/21/37 See mother's reading
1438-3 asking if her son [
1430]
will be able to find a job, etc., etc.
