4/03/64 Mother Mrs. [
404]'s verbal report to GD: "At the time
of the reading [
1450] was away on a job. He was foreman of a
construction crew that made and put up big signs along the
road between here and Florida.
"He now is superintendent of a metal shop that makes all
kinds of things from blue prints and then ships them for
installation all over the country; for instance, one of the
many things they make from the ground up is the big, $25,000
hot dog [hamburger] stand such as Carrol's or McDonald's.
"[
1450] also does wood work of all kinds, builds cabinets.
"His wife drew the plans for their home and he built it.
They recently did over their living room. He took the
furniture apart, rebuilt it, filled in the springs and
covered it, everything is in perfect shape, just as an
interior decorator or upholsterer could do.
"During the war he was army cook. Now he is top sergeant in
the Reserves; is very good at law and order - when he tells
the men to do something he checks to make sure they do it.
"He is good with any kind of tools. In his back yard he has
built a four-story birdhouse where he can watch the birds
build their nests. It is really a work of art - nobody has
seen anything like it. He used to raise chickens and rabbits
until there was a city ordinance against it.
"Another hobby is bees, which he has also built into a
self-supporting side business. He builds the hives himself
- everything he does he does from the ground up. In his
bedroom on the second floor he has built a glass beehive so
he can watch the bees at work - they go in and out the hive
through a tube which goes through the wall. He has become an
authority on bees.
"[
1450] has taken several correspondence courses. Recently
he has taken a course in business administration to help him
in his work as superintendent.
"At the time I got the Life Reading for him I think he had
already chosen the girl he would marry, from the three he had
been dating. She was slim, blue-eyed and red of face. Mr.
Cayce did not know her; in fact, I hadn't told him anything
about [
1450]. They got married and have always been very
happy and well suited to each other; they have two children,
a girl and a boy.
"Mr. Cayce was right about [
1450]'s temper, too, and his
tenderness. Everybody likes [
1450]. Even his mother-in-law,
who is an invalid, waits for him to come home of evenings to
take her out of bed to sit up a while, saying that [
1450] can
handle her more gently than her own son who lives just as
close to her as [
1450]."
