1. EC: (After going back over years from present to birth date and place given - "We don't find it here - ")
2. Yes, we have the record here (looks like it's the wrong place and date) [5/02/43 Her mother gave her birth date as 1/24/19 in Cleveland, Ohio] of that entity now known as or called [1462].
3. In giving that as may be helpful in the experience of this entity, the approach would necessarily for the entity be from the mathematical standpoint.
4. For the entity in its every relation is not merely methodical (for it does not partake so much of this) but mathematical.
5. Anything in its activity that would pertain to puzzles of a mathematical nature, or charades or word building would be of interest to the entity.
6. Hence such an approach is that which would arouse the more interest, and unless it may be made a practical experience would not become of much use or of much experience for this entity.
7. In the understanding then, gain this; that:
8. As in numbers one builds upon the other (as units) and all are formations or divisions or multiples of units of one, so the universe and the expressions of all natures within same are the manifestations of that one force, one power, one spirit, one energy known as or called a Universal Force, Creative Energy, or God.
9. Hence there is a purposefulness in every experience; and this may be worked out, just as mathematically as any problem of such a nature.
10. That there are those relative relationships through Influences through which an entity or soul as a unit passes becomes then natural; or a natural consequence just as Conscience IS, Life IS, God IS.
11. Thus these ofttimes become misunderstood by those who give too great an importance to an individual activity or experience.
12. For just as an experience of a soul or entity into the material plane is purposeful as a lesson, as a schooling, so the Influences through which the entity passes become as those influences in an individual experience in the material plane affecting the entity as Environment or Heredity. And these are just as motivative in the activities of an entity in any experience as the influences from material activities that are as hereditary or environmental.
13. For as a soul enters it is spirit, as God is Spirit. And as there is the building through the material associations of that through which there may become Life or activative force (which is as an entity's activity), these become then as Influences for judgements or parallels of such influences in the experience of an entity, a soul, a mind. For remember, Mind (as is called) is the Builder.
14. The Influences from sojourns in Environs from without the material plane are as the innate or MENTAL urges that may come as dreams or visions or the like; while the Influences from the material sojourns or individual appearances in the Earth are as the earth-earthy HEREDITY that may come in what we know as the emotions - or those influences that may be sensed by the emotions.
15. Yet all of these work or build as it were one upon another, making for that Body-Politique as it were that is known as an individual entity or soul in the material plane.
16. In this entity's experience then from the astrological aspects (MENTAL urges from sojourns from without the material plane, as indicated above), we find these become as the heady; or Aries - and Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn and the activities that become natures that are INNATELY builded; as: the desire for travel is an innate force from its influences in Saturn (which are the changing forces).
17. But the influences from the indwelling in Mercury make for the high mental efficiency and mental abilities; while those from Jupiter become as a protective force - and as the entity will build within self.
18. No matter WHAT may be the circumstance as it were of the entity, it is one that will build or CREATE or make for those influences that become as staying forces with the entity.
19. Hence we will find in some experience in this present life much of this world's goods will be a part of the entity's expression; also much travel in many of the varied lands and environs will be a portion. These are shown INNATELY as expressions that will become a part of the entity.
20. As to how these will come about depends upon the material application, or the application of those Influences that arise from the earthly or material sojourns that become as emotions in the experience.
21. Then these we find as the material sojourns that influence the entity:
22. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, or in the western portion of the land, when there were those periods of settlements just before the Revolution.
23. During those periods the entity was then of the Dutch descent, in the name Amy Herkmer.
24. In the experience the entity gained, though in material things suffered much in the persecutions by activities of the Natives, the French, and the disturbances as wrought by the destructive forces.
25. Yet the entity made itself active in that which supplied aid and succor to and for those not as agreeably or pleasantly situated even as the entity.
26. For the endowments that became a portion of the entity's handling made for the abilities of the entity to give itself in activities of service for others.
27. In the present experience from that sojourn we will find the abilities to use what is in hand - whether circumstances, associations, socially or otherwise - to obtain that which the entity desires.
28. Then these to be used WISELY must be ever paralleled with that which is the ideal; NOT merely idealistic. But rather that as the entity would worship in spirit and in truth.
29. These then are the judgements; that patience and longsuffering, kindness and brotherly love, should be rather the keynote than self-indulgence or self-glorification.
30. Not that there should not be what the world terms ease, from the very nature of the experiences and the abilities and faculties of the entity, but rather what may be said to be from the spiritual sense the MEETING of the needs in the SPIRITUAL sense.
31. Before that we find the entity was in the Promised Land, or Palestine Land, during those periods when there were those activities FOLLOWING the death (physically) of the man Jesus; when there were the persecutions and when there were the gatherings of many in the lands for the following of those activities that were propounded or taught by the disciples.
32. The entity was among those younger followers, that grew in those days the greater understanding.
33. Hence we see how and why, as it were, that innately as well as emotionally the purposefulnesses are the experience or activity of the entity in EVERY sense.
34. Throughout the sojourn the entity gained. Never in those experiences though, was the entity wedded; for the activities that were propounded (by some) became rather the rote for the entity.
35. The name then was Suleam.
36. Before that we find the entity was in the Arabian and Persian land, in the 'city in the hills and in the plains.'
37. The entity's activities then brought to many a more perfect understanding.
38. For the entity was of the natives (nomads) and of the same tribe as the ruler of the tribe, or the prophet or teacher or healer Uhjltd; being in the name then Shamla.
39. In the experience the entity became what would be termed now the head the hospital, or of those places where the afflicted and the sick and those that were unclean in ANY direction were cared for.
40. The entity supervised or cared for those activities during that experience.
41. Thus in those things pertaining to facts or figures, as well as those things pertaining to the helpful experience for the unfortunate, the entity excels; or such things become a part of the entity's INNATE expression. Hence material manifestations in same will bring great inner joy to the entity.
42. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as or called the Egyptian.
43. The entity was among those who came from the Atlantean land; and among children of the Law of One.
44. In the experience the entity was active in both the Temple Beautiful and the Temple of Sacrifice; being in that position in what would be called the Gates to Zubar (?), or later known in other languages as Zabulun.
45. So in the light of those activities, these made for bringing into the of others the activities for the greater purifying, the greater enlightenment for other lands - the home land.
46. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
47. Those activities in which there is a service for those that are less fortunate, yet that would include the gathering of data of such in many lands, should be a portion of the entity's experience.
48. Not as a missionary, but rather as a data gatherer FOR such activities may be the manifestations.
49. The abilities in home-making become only as a portion of the entity's experience.
50. For the mathematics of music, the mathematics of EVERY activity bespeaks for the entity its real worth in the experiences of all.
51. Then, study to show thyself approved unto that thou hast set as thy ideal; not as material things but as in spiritual things; that the life may be in this experience circumspect before thine own Conscience; showing a purpose, a cause, and activity in keeping with the desires to be a channel of blessings and hope to others.

53. (Q) Have I known the entity [1173], Jr., of Judson Court, ..., in another experience before, and, if so, in what relationship?
    (A) Very close in the experience before this; as the entity lent much aid to the entity now called [1173]. Though his activities then were questioned, the entity aided in bringing the better activity to each. This was then only an association.
    In those experiences in the land of the 'city in the hills and the plains' the entity nursed that entity now called [1173], and later they became mates.
    In the Egyptian land they were pitted, as it were, one against the other.
54. (Q) Are the indications that now or in time it would be well for me seriously to consider marriage with him?
    (A) Would be well to consider seriously, in time.
55. (Q) Does it appear probable that our destinies will best be served by marriage with one another?
    (A) This of course depends upon the ideals and the purposes of each. Their constitutions, physically, the elements of spiritual development, are parallel; and these are much better than cross currents.
56. (Q) Would it be well for me to find employment as a French teacher for a time on leaving college, or during the summer?
    (A) This would be very well.
    The aversion in these lines makes for the abilities to be more perfect in such activities.
57. (Q) Any other instructions?
    (A) The travel and the activities will be a part of the experience, as it is the dream of the entity in the present.
    Keep the faith of thy fathers; not only throughout the experiences in the earth but that thou hast builded innately.

    (A) They have it!

1. 4/18/41 Mrs. [1158]'s letter: "Our household is all turned upside down getting ready for [brother] [1173]'s marriage on Thursday, May 1st, to a Miss [2679]. She is a darling, and looks quite a lot like [1462] with whom he was very much taken about four years ago."
2. 4/20/43 [1462]'s Letter: "In 1937 or 1938 I received a Life Reading from you through [1173] who requested it. We have been living in California, and in the course of moving to the east, I lost the reading. Would it be possible to have a copy made of it? Please let me know how much it will be.
   "I just finished reading Thomas Sugrue's interesting book about you and your work and enjoyed it very much." [Copy was sent to her, GD]
3. 5/02/43 Grandmother, Mrs. [3136], requested a Physical Reading for [1462], filling out a membership application listing the birth information as 1/24/19 in Cleveland, Ohio [See 1462-1, Par. 1, 2. The grandmother listed [1462]'s occupation as "Music and Art Student".]
4. 7/27/43 Grandmother requested that the appointment be given to her instead of [1462]. See 3136-1. She also requested a Physical Reading for [1462]'s mother, Mrs. [3112].
5. 5/01/63 Letter under her married name: "In 1937 Edgar Cayce gave a reading for me. I believe it was in Sept. or Oct. of that year. My maiden name was [...]. Since that time the copy of the reading was lost. Is there any chance of my having a duplicate?" [Sent 5/03/63, GD]
