TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1484].
2. As we find, there are specific conditions that cause disturbances in the physical forces of the body, and the effects of these are a disturbance in the blood supply - that gives an activity in the abrasions or the conditions produced in portions of the body.
3. These as we find in their basic conditions are effects, and the applications that have been made - even to injections - have been for the effects rather than the removal of the causes of same.
4. Hence the conditions have only been allayed at times to reoccur in the system.
5. These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1484]; first:
6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find the effect of accumulations or poisons that apparently arise from a catarrhal condition between the circulatory forces in the lymph portions of the body.
7. These as we find are the effects of disturbances of a specific nature in the STRUCTURAL portions of the body. Then as we find, these as combined WITH other disturbances that are latent, or weakened by pressures or subluxations in other portions of the system, have become defined as a rash or eczema - or the activities of same that apparently become a part of each.
8. IN THE NERVE FORCES OF THE SYSTEM, owing to pressures that have existed in the 3rd and 4th dorsal center, there have been at various times in the development of the body upsetting conditions with the digestive forces of the body, as related to eliminations, as related to activities especially of the lower hepatic circulation, or through the kidneys, the bladder - at times; not severe, but irregularities in these directions.
9. These have affected at times the activities even of the glandular system to such measures that it has been deemed well at times to supply influences or activities to produce the replenishing of the influences from not only the thyroids but the activities through other portions of the system for the development of the body.
10. Then, as upon the nerve system we had a condition which arose from an external activity - to the lower portion of the spine itself, or to the coccyx end. This affectation, combined with the effects of the influences wrought by a temperature in the body from other causes, so affected the system as to produce through the sympathetic circulation the effects that are created or indicated in the present conditions themselves of the body.
11. IN THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, as we find, there are the activities near to normal in regard to the reflexes to the brain forces, to the sensory system.
12. The influences through the bronchi, the brachial, the lungs and the activities there are very good.
13. Those as we find to the heart's activity have at times been irregular, though these are not organic nor even functional; but rather a sympathetic condition through the deflections in the secondary cardiac area from the subluxation in the upper dorsal center, and combined WITH those that later brought about the disturbances that have even so far THINNED the walls of the upper digestive system. Not those, of course, of the stomach or duodenum, but the upper portions of the jejunum; to such natures as to cause or allow for the lymph and emunctory activity through those portions of the system to pick up - through this absorption or seepage - the effect of the toxic forces as find expression in the superficial circulation.
14. In the activities of the digestive system, these as we find at times cause or produce some disturbance - as the inclinations in the activity of the liver, owing to the excesses or the attempts of the body to create the character of activities to overcome the condition, to reduce rather the plasm in the bloodstream for the coagulation that is necessary through the areas where the thinning has occurred from the lack of the impulses from the proper directions by the pressures upon the nerve forces.
15. Thus those activities are caused that are indicated there.
16. In the activities through the rest of the system we find indirect disturbance by those very pressures themselves.
17. AS WE WOULD FIND, THEN, IN MAKING APPLICATIONS THAT WOULD PROVE TO BE NOT ONLY OF A CORRECTIVE NATURE BUT TO RELIEVE THE CAUSES OF THE DISTURBANCE OF THE SYSTEM:
18. There MUST be first the MECHANICAL alleviation of the pressures in the coccyx area or end of the spine, coordinating through the sacral, also alleviating those pressures in the 3rd and 4th dorsal centers as indicated that were the first conditions. This should be done by MECHANICAL - that is, OSTEOPATHIC - adjustments.
19. In the beginning these osteopathic treatments should be given at least twice or three times a week, for three weeks; then leave off for a period of at least ten days, and then have another series or period of adjustments.
20. As these treatments progress, or after there has been given at least four or five, begin taking that compound called ALCAROID, that is produced by the American Ferment Company. Take this internally, a quarter teaspoonful first dissolved in a small quantity of water and then a full glass of water added and then taken in the system; twice each day, morning and evening - after the meal. This will produce the better lacteal reactions in the digestive forces of the body, thus alleviating the excess acidity that has arisen in the system from the very activity or flow of the impulses from that thinning condition in the digestive area. Take as indicated here, for a period of a week or ten days; leave off entirely. Then after a week begin again. Twenty to thirty minutes after the morning and evening meals.
21. In the diet direction:
22. Mornings - either cereals OR citrus fruits may be taken, but DO NOT combine cereals AND citrus fruit juices of ANY nature at the same meal, neither on the same day! But either of these may be taken at intervals. A cooked cereal is preferable - when a cereal is to be taken; such as a combination of wheat and barley as in Maltex - this is the preferable of the cooked cereals for this body. This carries activities that when taken do not ferment easily as oats OR whole wheat rolled or preparations in other forms. Any of the fresh fruits or stewed fruits may be taken at the morning meal, or eggs occasionally but ONLY the yolk of the egg should be taken - NONE of the white, or that which carries so much (under the present conditions of the body) of the activities that are acid-forming.
23. Noons - vegetable soups, or vegetables that are preferably of the leafy variety; or those that are of the bulbous nature, but these should be thoroughly cooked and ONLY in their OWN juices (as in Patapar Paper).
24. Evenings - fish, fowl or lamb - these would be taken in moderation, with any of the vegetables that are grown UNDER the ground, with one or two of the green variety or nature that grow above the ground. Two to three of those UNDER the ground to one of those that grow above the ground, in the evening meal.
25. Only use brown bread, or preferably for this body, as much as possible only Ry-Krisp.
26. As for drinks, none of those that are made with carbonated waters. Those that are of the pure nature are preferable. Milk may be taken, but preferably only the dried or prepared milk - rather than the raw.
27. Keeping throughout the period the diets and the applications internally, externally, we should see results.
28. A camphorated oil is preferable to lotions for the body. Dust same afterwards with a good powder, but that carries with same the balsams - or the stearate of zinc WITH balsam - this is preferable to others. This is only to allay the conditions until there is the removal of the CAUSES and the system adjusts itself.
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) What sweets?
    (A) Only honey as sweets, or those that are prepared with same.
31. (Q) What about Vitamin D Milk?
    (A) Vitamin D Milk is very good. BETTER STILL is the Dryco, especially in the beginning. A little later the Vitamin Milks will be very well. But in the beginnings, if there adjustments are made, only the dry milks are preferable.
32. (Q) Are oranges considered the citrus fruit?
    (A) Oranges, pineapple, grapefruit, ALL may be taken. These are NOT acid-PRODUCING. They are alkalin-reacting!
But when cereals or starches are taken, do not have the citrus fruit at the same meal - or even the same day; for such a combination in the system at the same time becomes ACID-producing!
Hence those taken on different days are well for the body.
33. (Q) What about butter and cream?
    (A) These in moderation in the beginning; taken very moderately.
If we will do these, we will bring the normal conditions for this body, not only correcting the deficiencies that have existed in the activities of the thyroids but in the glandular forces through the caecum, through the pelvis and through those reactions to the MENTAL activities of the body. Not that the body is deficient, but the tendencies to be IRRITATED will be removed - for these have been pressures.
Through the activities if it becomes necessary to PURIFY the glands, we would give that which has been indicated oft for this purpose; the Atomidine - but take only one minim (one DROP) in half a glass of water before the morning meal, ten to fifteen minutes before the morning meal, for two or three days at a time; leave off for a week to ten days, then take again. This is only activative in releasing the iodine to purify the glandular system, in this quantity or dosage; not affecting the circulation, as would ordinarily - if all the pressures are removed in those dorsal areas as indicated.
34. We are through for the present.
