(Q) How may I clear up my financial troubles?
(A) Leaning on Him. For the silver and the gold are
the Lord's, and the way that leads to the more perfect
understanding is to trust the more wholly in Him.
Let this be as thy meditations, in thine own words but this
as the thought:
"LORD, THY SERVANT, THY HANDMAID, SEEKS EVER TO BE IN ACCORD;
YEA, IN ATTUNE WITH THEE - AND THY PURPOSES THOU HAST FOR ME
IN THIS EXPERIENCE AMONG THE CHILDREN OF MEN.
"AS THOU HAST LOVED, THEN, AND GIVEN THYSELF A RANSOM FOR THE
MANY, WILT THOU IN THY LOVE GUIDE AND DIRECT IN THE WAY AS
THOU HAST PROMISED?
"FOR MY TRUST IS EVER IN THEE! LEAD ON, O LORD - LEAD THOU,
O LORD, ON!"
We are through for the present.

Immediately following [1487-1] she remarked: "Beautiful! I
just feel the truth of every word, especially that part about
the Mohawk valley. I have visited there much in the present
and KNOW that I lived there."
1/12/38 [
1487]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Thank you for your letter of December 14, asking me if I am
enjoying my reading of continued interest, and also whether
there is anything that you might make a bit more clear.
Yes, I am enjoying the reading, and feel that it is a
tremendous value to me in making me more - shall I say -
resigned to the turn in the events of my life as of recent
happenings. I have always felt that reincarnation must be a
fact, else it would seem that life is so filled with terrific
injustice. So the record of my former lives helps me to keep
a bit more balanced in my perspective.
I would very much like to have you tell me just what you mean
when - in answering Q.2 [Par. 58-A], you say "This may come
to pass, but only rather by the mental than the material
association." Do you mean that I am never again to see him,
talk to him on the earth plane? We have been kept apart for
nearly a year and a half by falsehood and legal chicanery.
He is nearing 86 years.
I hope to see you again sometime, for I surely enjoyed my all
too brief contact with you. I should like to hear something
as to where, in New York, group meetings are held.
Yours most sincerely, [

1/17/38 EC's letter to Mrs. [
1487]:
My Dear Mrs. [
1487]:
Was good of you to write us, am glad indeed that you are
finding the information helpful - and most every one tells us
it is something that grows on you, and a few months from now
you will find a great deal more in it than you do now. That
is the amazing thing to me about them. And makes me realize,
personally, that I know so little about them.
The answer to Q-2 [1487-1, Par. 58-A] would construe it to
mean very likely you will only see the party little in this
life - unless some mental conditions are cleared up - that
is, things each of you have in mind - that are only mental
reactions; not a very good explanation, but hope you see what
am trying to say and think you will.
Think my Son will be in N.Y. in a few weeks or a month or so
to spend possibly a little time there with the forming of
Study groups. He will be in touch with you when he arrives
and will talk with you at some length about this phase of the
work.
Thank you again and again for your letter, if haven't been
explicit enough, please don't hesitate to ask me again.
With all good wishes,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
