(Q) Will it be to my advantage financially to sell the
securities I now hold and invest the money with Lydia B.
Koch? [for her milk cartons?]
(A) We do not find it so in the present. When there has
been a little further advance, then this may be considered;
that is, advancement in the activities in which the
investments would be made. [See
10/05/37 letter under
255-5,
Par. R43.]
Hold to these in the present. In the spring or the summer,
when these activities have advanced, it MAY be preferable;
but turn to WITHIN to know. [See 1493-1, Par. B1 re milk
carton circular.] [
9/01/70 GD's note: Paper milk cartons
are now used almost universally.]
For He has promised to meet thee in thy own temple. For
thy body is indeed the temple of the living God and He has
promised to meet thee there, in thy own meditation - yea, in
thy own prayer; and let it be much as this, though in thine
own words, in thine own message:
LORD, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! IN THY LOVE, IN THY GRACE,
LOOK UPON THY HANDMAID WHO WAITS BEFORE THEE AND ASKS FOR
THY GUIDANCE, THY DIRECTION. PUT INTO MY MIND AND MY HEART,
O GOD, THAT I SHOULD THINK, THAT I SHOULD DO, DAY BY DAY!
AND HELP ME TO GIVE TO THOSE I MEET, IN MY DAILY LIFE, A WORD
OF CHEER, AN ACT OF LOVE, IN SUCH MEASURES THAT THEY - TOO -
MAY KNOW THEE.
EVEN AS THOU HAST LOVED US, SO LOVE I MY FELLOWMAN! USE ME,
O GOD, IN THY WAY.
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
1/21/38 [
1493]'s letter to EC:
"Since receiving my Life reading from you December 4, 1937,
I have wanted to write to you, but have hesitated, deferring
my comment on it until plenty of time had passed, and my
judgment was not swayed by emotion.
"Having been an earnest student of the Path for many years -
more than fifteen - the study of comparative religions, and
religious philosophy have been of special interest to me,
and I concur heartily in the spiritual pronouncements of your
reading. As to what followed: Your journey into my past
lives; there was absolutely no response of that Inner Self
which KNOWS.
"As part of my occult studies, I have tried to find something
of definite value to ME in psychical research - in other
words, through a medium, but so far there has been nothing!
"My own meditations have been of great benefit to me, and I
am more convinced than ever that the 'God within' is the One
to seek.
"With all good wishes to you in your work..."
1/25/38 EC's letter to [
1493]: "Thank you for yours of the
21st. You are quite right. The answer must come from the
Divine within, and unless there is that answer, do not accept
at all. For the promise is 'My Spirit beareth witness with
thy spirit,' and that surely is the right way. That there is
little or nothing in the information for you just now, well,
it is very unusual; the second experience we've ever had in
the thousand or more we have given. Possibly after a little
more time, will you read it again, you will find something.
Then, if you do not, I would discard it entirely, and can I
make restitution to you in any way, I will be glad to do so.
"My purpose, my desire, is ever to be of a helpful influence,
and if the information is not that, I certainly would not
want to palm it off on anyone.
"For it is the still small voice within that tells us whether
we have contacted that we seek or not. And that should be
our judgment, am sure, without equivocation.
"Thank you for writing me as you have, and anything I can do,
am glad to do so.
"Please, after a bit, read the whole mass once more, then
write me please..."
5/20/38 Card to EC: "Kindly remove my name from your mailing
list. All good wishes to you and for your work."
