(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

EC: Yes, we have the body, [1514].
Now as we find, there are very definite disturbances in the physical forces of the body yet the causes of these have been hidden - or are latent and are conditions arising from an old disturbance, as combined with some later reactions.
And the effect of these combinations, where the infections are arising, is producing in the extremities - especially in the joints, the knees, the feet, the elbows, the hands - the lack of the proper flow or circulation to carry away those inclinations towards an arthritic ossification in the oils that are necessary in the lymph for normal or proper reaction through the body.
The causes arise from an old disturbance of the nature caused by a digestive reaction as combined with some female disturbance, or through the pelvic organs.
This combination has produced within the activities of the glandular forces, as combined with the activities of elimination, the disturbances in the body.
As we find these may be materially aided, but will require persistency and consistent effort on the part of the body in causing activities to produce not only the eliminations of the effects but the causes for same to the system.
First, begin with Epsom Salts Baths. There should be sufficient water in the bath tub to cover the body, and added to same at least ten to fifteen pounds of Epsom Salts. Let the body lie in this as long as it can, or for at least twenty to thirty minutes; adding hot water to make it act upon the system. Drink plenty of cold water while in the bath. Take care when coming out of the bath that the body is thoroughly rubbed down, especially the lumbar areas and the limbs and the arms - not merely dried off but thoroughly rubbed; with equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil.
Begin also, with the first Epsom Salts Bath, to take Atomidine - in this manner: Take two minims in the morning before breakfast, in half a glass of water, and two minims in half a glass of water just before retiring; for ten days.
Then take another of the Epsom Salts Baths.
Do not take the Atomidine on the days that the Epsom Baths are taken.
But after the second Bath, begin with three drops (minims) of the Atomidine twice a day in the same manner, for ten days.
Then the day before the third Epsom Bath is to be taken, take FIVE drops in the morning and five drops in the evening.
Then take the Bath after same.
On the next day begin with the vibrations from the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying Gold, in the proportions of three grains to one ounce of distilled water. Use this for thirty minutes each day for fifteen days, leave off for three days, then use fifteen days more. At the end of each fifteenth day period, of course, have the Gold Solution renewed. Of course, keep the anodes clean and NOT in the solution when not in use. But put in solution at least twenty minutes before being used, see? This should be kept up - the use of the Appliance carrying the Gold in this manner - for at least three charges of the Appliance itself, which should be every thirty days. The attachments would be made as follows:
The small plate would be attached first, to the 9th dorsal-lumbar; while the larger plate - through which the Gold Solution passes - would be attached last, to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center.
Also when the Appliance is begun, we would have the NEUROPATHIC manipulations given each day for at least ten days. With the manipulations each time have the adjustments especially in the lumbar, the sacral and the 9th dorsal; but coordinating, to be sure, the upper dorsal and cervical with same.
In the matter of the diets: Keep to an alkalin-reacting diet. No white bread, no fried foods. Use an equal combination of vegetables below the ground and those above the ground, but not the pulp of potatoes - just the peel or the small potato roasted and the jacket eaten.
Keep in these ways and we should bring the better conditions for the body.
It should not be necessary for more than three of the Epsom Salts Baths, but at least that many. With the Baths, watch that the body is kept cool by the body-activities to make more perspiration; to carry the Atomidine THROUGH the pores of the body - especially in the third Bath. After each of these have a thorough rubdown and let the body be wrapped in blanket for at least half an hour to an hour before attempting to move about much.
Take the Atomidine in the order given. After the completion of the Baths, the Atomidine may be taken one minim morning and evening for a week to two weeks, left off a few days, then taken again.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Shall I discontinue all treatments I have been taking?
(A) We would take these, as indicated.

REPORTS

1/14/38 Mrs. [1444]'s letter: "Miss [1514] received her reading and wants to start following it out. But that WCA business and the gold has her puzzled. She wants to know if she can administer the WCA treatment herself, whether it would be safe to and how much such a battery will cost. The gold that she's supposed to use has also got her stumped. It sounds frightfully expensive and she doesn't think she can afford it... Perhaps it isn't as high as it sounds. Would you inquire about it for her thru that Norfolk concern? She'd certainly appreciate it. We went down yesterday morning to see Dr. McCormick [James J. McCormick, D.O.] and inquired if he could give her the neuropathic treatments suggested in the reading. We couldn't find any doctor listed as a neuropathic doctor. He said he'd give her the treatment suggested, so I guess that part is alright..."
1/21/38 GD's reply: "...I'm sending you one of our explanatory articles concerning the WCA. Yes, Miss [1514] can use it at home herself. It isn't so expensive, as you will see and she will not need new solutions so often as to make it too expensive. We have had such remarkable results with Arthritis cases. I will send you one of our Case Histories on Arthritis [951]. This may give Miss [1514] courage to begin with the treatments..."
2/03/38 Mrs. [1444]'s letter to GD: "...I've been waiting to hear from my ... friend Miss [1514] as to what she was going to do about her reading. And she finally came over yesterday. She's feeling pretty good right now and as she has some people visiting her, she thinks she'll start her treatments a little later on...
"My husband will most likely go to Dr. McCormick... I don't know, Gladys, just how 'sympathetic' he is. [1514] went down for a consultation and she let him have her reading just pointing out the part having to do with the osteopathy. He read the whole thing (no one asked him to) and [1514] mentioned something about the gold solution, asking him if he knew anything about it and he said no but he didn't think it was at all necessary. So that didn't sound so well to me..."
11/29/40 Mrs. [1444]'s letter to EC: "...There is a doctor here, Dr. [George F. Ehrline, N.D.] Ehrline of the Miami Health Institute, whom I think you might like to know of. He's a very fine doctor, and you'll find him sympathetic in following up your readings, which was not the case with Dr. McCormick... Because of his attitude, Miss [1514] didn't go back to him. Just recently she had occasion to go to Dr. Ehrline - she showed him her reading and he was much interested. He's followed out physical readings before, and he inquired about a certain machine mentioned in the reading. I told him a Norfolk concern is putting out the things brought out in your readings... Dr. Ehrline and his wife [Margaret F. Ehrline, N.D.?] are very interested in things psychic and other occult phenomena..."
