This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of May, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1523], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1523]; this we have had before.
2. While there are many conditions that are not entirely normal, we find that there are normal developments through those reactions that are taking place with the body - under the stress of the mental as well as the physical reactions that have existed in the system.
3. As we have indicated, all of those areas need corrections and the general reaction from adjustments along the cerebrospinal system; with the nerve plexus along same as related to the sensory system, the assimilating system.
4. The adjustments in the upper dorsal and through the cervical, for the sensory forces, have NOT been made as well as they should be; neither through the vagus center; else we would NOT have had the reactions to the auditory forces that have existed - as we find indicated.
5. These should have been extended more to the vagus plexus and from there to the auditory as well as the vision plexus in the cervicals, in the 3rd and 2nd cervicals, and portions of the face that go to the points of the circulation around the ear and to the back of the head.
6. In the activities of the assimilating system we find there needs to be more of a strengthening, through the vitality of the body and the reactions of same. For here we find, with the diet and with the compounds as may be taken for the better assimilation, there may be brought better conditions for the body.
7. Occasionally, then, we would take those properties combined in Alcaroid, for the reactions from same to the gastric flows. This would be taken after the heavy meal of the day for two or three days, and then left off. These properties will prevent the formations of gas, also those tendencies or inclinations for nausea that may arise through general development of conditions through the system; and may keep a better balancing in the eliminations for the body - if the osteopathic corrections are made occasionally as indicated.

9. (Q) How often should these corrections be given?
   (A) If given PROPERLY and DEEPLY through the auditory centers, or from the 3rd and 4th dorsal to the base of the brain and the head and through portions of the neck, once a week - and six or eight - should be sufficient.
10. (Q) Were the osteopathic treatments given, correct?
    (A) It has just been indicated that if they had been given PROPERLY in portions of the system, we would NOT have had those conditions existent!
    Now as we find, we would HAVE those corrective treatments for the assimilating system - 9th dorsal to the secondary cardiac plexus area and the brachial plexus; THEN those for the auditory forces and for the vegetative nerve system.
    These are different conditions, you see; hence it is necessary that the manipulations be from different angles!
11. (Q) Is normal pregnancy possible?
    (A) Normal pregnancy may be possible.
12. (Q) When is the best time for conception to take place?
    (A) It can ONLY take place when there is that flow from the natural system for that, which may become impregnated with the spermatozoan that makes for the forming of same.
    The general physical conditions of the body are not proper for such, though it may come about.
13. (Q) What form of exercise is advisable to keep body normal?
    (A) A portion of the head and neck exercises, and any of those that keep in that form to make for the correcting of the balance upon the lumbar axis.
14. (Q) Should breathing exercises be continued indefinitely?
    (A) Only as they are necessary. As has been indicated for the body, there is not sufficient of the vital forces through the assimilating system. These may be strengthened or added by the compound indicated for the assimilation, and may be distributed through stimulating the glandular system by the removal of pressures osteopathically as indicated - or the stimulating impulses thusly for circulation. Then as it is a portion of the body's natural development for exercise AND character of breathing, these would become naturally a part of the routine. Not just as rote, but to produce definite results in the physical forces of the body.
15. (Q) What causes discolored discharge?
    (A) The congestions that arise from the conditions in the areas that have been affected. This is a reflex condition.
16. (Q) What caused the recent soreness in left tube?
    (A) The irritation from the activities during and just before the Period.
17. (Q) What causes the lump on the left eyelid?
    (A) An accumulation from broken cellular tissue. This as we find will disappear as there are the corrections for the flow of circulation through the whole of these areas, as has been indicated.
18. (Q) What causes the circles under the eyes?
    (A) Nervous condition, and worry!
19. (Q) Any spiritual advice for the body?
    (A) Just that which has been indicated for the body; study to show thyself approved unto thy OWN good conscience - that which does not decry nor bespeak condemnation. For as ye would not be condemned, then condemn not.
    And as ye keep this attitude towards self, toward others, let the spiritual reactions for a CONSTRUCTIVE experience be thine own.
20. (Q) Please give any further suggestions and corrective measures for the better condition of this body.
    (A) If the body will keep in that way, physically, mentally, spiritually, of which it is AWARE - though it may oft require self-denial, self-regulations - there will be brought the better physical, mental and spiritual reactions in the experience of the body.

2. 7/24/38 She submitted a report of her condition to date [See under 1523-1 Reports], saying: "Through check readings given to date my general physical condition is so much improved I cannot remember having felt so well since my 'teens. My weight has become nearly normal through exercises suggested in the readings, my blood circulation has greatly improved as can be told by coloring of the skin and the eliminations through alimentary canal.
   "My comment would be that I have achieved complete physical recovery and mental comfort due to my association with Mr. Cayce and his work, a better understanding of self and my relation to others."
