(Q) Please give me an affirmation to use in meditation.
(A) "CREATE, O FATHER, WITHIN ME A PURE HEART! RENEW THE
RIGHTEOUS PURPOSE, THE RIGHTEOUS DESIRES WITHIN ME -
CONTINUALLY.
"LET ME EACH DAY SO LIVE THAT I MAY CONSTRAIN THOSE THAT I
MEET DAY BY DAY TO GLORIFY THEE.
"LET MY PURPOSES AND MY DESIRES, AS IN RELATIONSHIPS TO
MATERIAL THINGS, AS IN RELATIONSHIPS TO THE SOCIAL
ACTIVITIES, BE SUCH AS TO BE TO THE GLORY OF THEE - THROUGH
HIM WHO BLESSES ALL THAT SEEK THROUGH HIS NAME TO KNOW THEE!
"LET MY GOING IN AND MY COMING OUT BE IN KEEPING WITH THY
PURPOSES WITH ME. LET THY WILL, O FATHER, BE DONE IN ME,
THROUGH ME, DAY BY DAY."
We are through for the present.
BACKGROUND
GD's note: Miss [
1532] was known to EC. She had been
secretary of a new A.R.E. group of young people, having known
about the EC work through her mother since her early years.
She wanted the Life Rdg. to help her decide whether to take a
business course or to go to college.
8/08/35 Sister's rdg.
649-2, Par. 10-A, 12-A, 32-A indicated
her association with [

REPORTS
8/21/40 [
1532]'s ltr. to EC: The characteristics mentioned
that I find accurate are as follows: Desire to finish
whatever it begins. And to finish before it is through is
the urge. Independence. Wrath or anger also become a part
of me.
My points of interest are: Warning to stay away from water.
The advice to wear ornaments of circles instead of pins to
promote greater harmony. The experience before this in
and around Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Fredericksburg.
Being one of the children that the Master blessed and being
present at the feeding of the five thousand and the four
thousand. That the companion of this period is to be this
same in this.
The advice to take a business course has proven the most
helpful suggestion. I suppose the advice to wait ten years
before marrying will prove helpful.
11/09/40 See
1532-3, second Physical Reading, Par. 16-A--18-A
advising her to apply through schools for a position, and to
take the Civil Service Examination for Stenographer-Typist
to be given on
12/02/40.

1/08/42 EC's letter in re Prayer
For Peace [see under
2678-1 Background].
Dear Mr. Cayce,
Will you please forgive me for not having written before
now? I have been busy knitting a sweater for the Red Cross.
I just want to let you know that I have been cooperating
and will continue to do so. May our prayers be answered!

12/27/48 She married a salesman for the firm where she was
employed as secretary, against her parents wishes since he
was a divorced man with two children. [GD's note:
Apparently she was happy with him.]
12/02/58 He died with cancer following a long illness, leaving
her two sons.
