TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1541]; this we have had before.
3. Conditions are very much different from those we have had before; yet the reaction in the system is very similar in appearance.
4. As we find, there are the effects of the acute condition of incoordination between eliminations and the eliminating systems, produced from toxic forces from too much of acids that do not ELIMINATE in their proper channel.
5. These as we find cause the inflammation, especially in the superficial circulation, especially upon the extremities - or the arms, and HAS been indicated upon other portions of the body that have been involved.
6. We would keep the Mullein Tea. Bruise the fresh Mullein Leaves and some of the flower, especially at this period of the year. Use about two ounces (in quantity, not in weight) to about a quart of water. Let this steep as tea. Take two or three ounces each day, - it may be taken twice during the day, but this is the quantity to be consumed during the day.
7. If there are excesses of the inflammation or swelling, apply the Mullein Stupes. These will be helpful.
8. Where there is any broken tissue, apply the ointment prepared with Plantain and sweet butter. This should be cut very fine and almost in WEIGHT equal quantities cooked together. Do not prepare too great a quantity at a time, but this applied WITH the Plantain itself in same.
9. Also the Eno Salts as an assistant in eliminations would be well. Take a teaspoonful each morning for five to six days, leave off a period of three to four days, then take again. This carries an alkalizer, and is not as straining upon the intestinal system, or reducing the vitality, as some other salts.
10. For about a week it would be well for the body to take a course of an equal combination of Epsom Salts, - or Rochelle Salts, preferably; that is, a level tablespoonful of Rochelle Salts and an equal quantity each of Cream of Tartar and Sulphur. Mix VERY thoroughly together. Best that this be done with mortar and pestle, so that it is WELL COMBINED. As a dose, take about half a teaspoonful of this mixture each evening, - either in water or dry. This will aid in equalizing the incoordinations through the system.
11. Then the diet:
12. Keep to rather the simple diet; not fruits, but rather vegetables.
13. Little of meats save fish, fowl or lamb; though a little roast beef may be taken but should be WELL done.
14. Potatoes will be very well for this body at this period, if they will be cooked IN or WITH the meat that is eaten.
15. Do these and, as we find, we will bring the bettered conditions for this body.
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) No fruits of any kind?
    (A) NO FRUITS OF ANY KIND, as has been given!
18. (Q) Comment on honey and gran sugar in the diet.
    (A) These, as indicated; just so there is not too much roughage, or those things that tend to make for acidity to the superficial circulation. Honey in the honeycomb is very well. Sugar should be used in VERY moderate quantities.
19. (Q) What may be done to relieve itching from the rash?
    (A) As indicated, apply the ointment where there is the abrasion. This is the area of the itching, because it exhumes the fluids.
20. We are through with this Reading.

BACKGROUND

1. See 1541-7.
2. Questions submitted and not asked:
   - Foods to avoid and foods to stress.
   - Was the condition of the feet recently, and the condition of the arm now, the same as last summer?
   - Has the diet been responsible for the reoccurrence of this condition?
   - Did the applications to heal the feet (Epsom Salts Solution, Boric Acid and Cornstarch Powder) cause the poison to come out on the arm?
   - Should any of the applications being used be continued?
