This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of January, 1939, in accordance with request made by the son-in-law, Mr. [1561], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. As we find, conditions are more improved than we have had at any time as yet; though we find there are periods when there is a reverting to the old tendencies or inclinations for resentments in the body.
4. To the one administering the neuropathic adjustments: These are well, - these should be kept. In the administering of same, take more time especially in following the nerve forces through the areas that set up drainages through the alimentary canal; easing also those tensions as will be found in the lumbar and sacral area, as a natural consequence of inactivity of the body in its general form, see?
5. Keep more of those suggestive forces as administrations are made. Gain more and more confidence of the body as these are being given.
6. In the administering of the iodine, it is well for this to be kept; but iodine, as it reacts upon the system, is found to be more consistent in its reaction if it is given for a few days - five, - left off for three days, and then repeated again; rather than given consistently. As it is an element, and acts upon the glandular forces of the body to purify same, and as there has been a static condition in the activity of the glandular system (except in the reactions of the sympathetic forces), this tends to clog and to at times cause reactions that are not so well. Hence administer same in the manner as has just been indicated. Give for five days, leave off for three days, then begin again, see?
7. Keep up the gentle massage, - that is, the oil rubs, see. This is gradually stimulating a better connection, and coordinates WITH the neuropathic administrations for coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal. Hence the admonition to the one administering the neuropathic treatments to gain more confidence, and better create the coordinations.
8. The electrical vibratory forces we would keep as indicated. SKIP a day or two during each seven, with the use of same. But use the smaller plate upon the cerebrospinal system, see? Do not bind these too close on the body but let them be VERY well in contact; keeping the plates well cleansed before applying each time, with a little emery paper, that the body-vibrations do not form a short circuit in the active forces of the Appliance.
9. Do these, keeping with the diets those foods that are body-building yet easily assimilated. Especially in the preparations of same, prepare the vegetables as much as possible in their own juices, their own salts, and these will be more effective to the body.
10. The activity of the kidneys is somewhat improved, and it will be found that it will continue to improve in these directions with the manipulations neuropathically through the lumbar and sacral, as well as the 9th dorsal.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) The nickel plate applied to front area leaves definite marks even with current control at zero. Is this alright? How long should this be applied?
    (A) This is alright, just so it is not bound too tightly, see? Use for fifteen minutes.
13. (Q) Are all directions being correctly followed?
    (A) These are being very well followed, save as has been indicated to the ones giving the neuropathic as well as the general massage of oil.
