This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of July, 1939, in accordance with request made by the son-in-law - Mr. [1561], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them; telling what improvement you find.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. As we find, there is a great deal better coordination between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nervous system.
4. Hence a great deal better mental coordination, and almost an equal amount of GENERAL fatigue for the body - the natural consequences of there being the attempt for a unifying of the energies of the nervous system.
5. As we find, now, we would use more of the Gold Solution (in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of Distilled Water) through the STRONGER electrical vibratory forces, see? that is, use the Wet Cell Appliance rather than the Radio-Active. Use this one day, and the next day use the Camphor solution. Alternate these, you see. Spirits of Camphor. Do not use the Gold Solution and the Camphor Solution in the same bottle, nor longer than thirty minutes when they are used; one used one day, the other the next. Of course, the same attachments or plates may be used for both, but have separate containers for the solutions. Keep the plates very clean and polished, before and after using.
6. The large nickel plate in each case (through which the Solution passes) would be attached to the lacteal and umbilical plexus; but the smaller copper plate when using the Gold would be attached to the 4th lumbar center, and when using the Camphor at the 9th dorsal center.
7. These vibrations of the Camphor will materially aid in the activity of the bowels.
8. Continue with the rubs and the other suggestions; but do not use the Tartaric Acid Packs again. If and when necessary for bowel movement, use the Soda Packs. Preferably spread gauze over the area of the abdomen and on this put the Soda, dry - then a damp cloth over that, see? This will not cause a rash. Use not more than thirty minutes, and only when necessary. Remember what you are applying them for, and as to how often taken depends upon the necessity for eliminations.
9. Use the colonic irrigations also when necessary, of course. These that have been given are very well, and keep them up so long as there are any indications of mucous or the like. Keep these up especially as long as there is any phlegm or mucous from same, see? for this cleansed from the system will allow all other properties to work much more satisfactorily.
10. The diet should be kept much in the manner as has been indicated.

12. (Q) How often and how much at a time should Castoria or figs be given?
    (A) As indicated, we will find there will be quite a change in the eliminations with the use of the Camphor Solution (commercial strength) on opposite days from the Gold Solution, through the Wet Cell Appliance. Then we will find it not necessary to give such large quantities of the Castoria for bowel movement.
13. (Q) Should she have a bowel movement daily?
    (A) If it's two it is not too much! Should be one, at least.
14. (Q) What bulk does she require that can be disguised in food or drink?
    (A) We would prepare a mixture to be taken as food, in this manner: Chop together a cupful each of Black Figs and dates. Put this on the stove in a cupful of milk (from which the cream has not been separated). Just before it comes to a boil, stir in same two tablespoonsful of corn meal. This will not only make bulk but will be the character of bulk as a food that will act with those properties for better eliminations, and give food values of a nature most helpful for the body in the present. This quantity might be used three or four meals, and this means it might be taken once or twice a day, dependent upon the ability to get the body to take same.
15. (Q) She is very languid. Is there anything to build up her strength?
    (A) As indicated, all of these are given as strengthening foods. A little spirits frumenti would be well occasionally, or cook the yolk of a raw egg by dropping the whiskey over it, and then adding milk. This will aid materially in giving strength and vitality. For one egg use a teaspoonful or more of the spirits frumenti, with about half a glass of milk, - and this quantity taken during a whole day, but keep on ice when not being taken, of course.
16. (Q) Any other advice?
    (A) We would do these for this body, and keep as cheerful attitudes about the body as practical.

1. 9/10/39 Daughter's letter:
   "We would like to have a check reading for Mrs. [1553] as soon as possible. I've been trying to sit down long enough to get this off to you for sometime. No day is long enough ever for my routine.
   "We feel mother is better, she now enjoys being read to very much, but constipation seems to be a big problem as it has always been. The reading said occasionally the senna derivatives, but a later reading said a bowel movement everyday which means a very, very strong senna dose as well as the soda pack every day. The camphor every other day. I know these things are slow but I'm so anxious to know if we are going along the right path and following the reading correctly.
   "Here are some questions I wish you could answer for me. (1) How often should the gold solution be changed now that it is used on alternate days with the camphor? (2) If the gold solution is still quite colored or even is colored as in beginning after using for some time does it mean that the body isn't getting it or does it mean the battery should be recharged or what? (3) How often should the camphor be changed? (4) In directions for the battery it says make attachments to the body first as in the reading by Mr. Cayce. Will you please write procedure?
   "I am anxious to have Mrs. [1553]'s name continued until further notice in your prayer work as I feel this is of vital service. [1561] joins me in sending love to you all."
