5/10/38 She requested a Physical Reading for Mr. [
1591],
saying:
"I thought the Life Reading [
1580-1] was very good but cannot
understand why the questions were not answered as long as her
children are a part of her and such an important one... We
feel that taking the reading the person who puts the question
to you should ask questions bringing out much more details.
"Health reading being usually so short, and I having paid for
so many readings feel that you should be glad to answer
several questions which I am also enclosing for myself.
Gladys could do as she did when I asked another friend's
question in my health reading - she divided the reading in
two parts [
1554-4 and 1554-5].
"I am also surprised that you did not mention a Grecian
[
1580-1] incarnation as this was the one in my reading where
we were so close together.
"You ask me also Mrs. [
1580]'s reactions. She is here now
with me and I am writing for her. On the whole she thinks it
is a very good reading, interesting. As she cannot check her
reincarnations she feels there should be more stress laid on
the present incarnation of which she thinks you said very
little. She would have liked to have something in the future
mentioned which she could have checked - and in that way
there would be more confidence in the things you saw about
other incarnations which we cannot check and have to take
your word for it.
"Mrs. [
1580] has several friends who would be very much
interested in the type of reading we have just spoken of
except that the price at present is far beyond what they
could afford - is there any chance that your prices will
ever be within reach of anybody but the rich - of course
Mrs. [
1580] and I feel - I certainly hope - I will see you
when I go to N.Y. There are many things now that I want to
talk to you about.
"Please remember me to your little family - and with many
thanks believe me, my dear friend, very sincerely yours."
5/16/38 EC's letter to HLC: "Seems it is hard lines
everywhere.
Letter from Madame [
1554] complaining that only the rich
could have our readings. She sent one more from someone in
..., Calif. [
1591] and asked, inasmuch as she had sent so
many, to give her one free. Have made the appointment and
then will try and write her quite frankly."
5/18/38 See
1554-7.
