TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now called Mrs. [1556].
2. Much might be given as to the application of the entity in the present experience to its opportunities, those wherein there have been disturbances and resentments as builded and conditions where blames have been put in this or that direction.
3. But the hope and the desire is to give, from the records here of the experiences and urges as innate, that which the entity may apply in a practical way and manner; for bringing not so much ease or comfort, but comfort and peace of that nature wherein there may be contentment.
4. And it is the desire to arouse that full consciousness of living, of being in attune and in accord with the Infinite in such measures, ways and manners that those whom the entity may contact day by day may be influenced to take hope and to live an experience in which ALL may know that the entity has walked with, and has a consciousness of, the abiding presence of the Holy One.
5. In giving the astrological sojourns and the urges that arise from same, we find that these make for quite a conflicting influence - from Venus as well as Jupiter.
6. Hence we find associations and activities in which there is the inclination for the individual to become disappointed in people, and for its affections and love to be often misunderstood - and not spoken kindly of - nor even gently of at other times.
7. These then arise much from that inclination innate - not purposefully, not maliciously - for the entity to exaggerate, and to expend self.
8. But abilities in most EVERY walk of life are a part of the entity's experience, just so it has to do with groups or masses or great numbers of individuals; though the activity of the entity must be individual in its application.
9. From the influences in Uranus we find the extremes; and indeed the entity has in the present experience known extremes - the good, the bad; the enjoyment of luxury in a manner and the husks of life itself as it were.
10. Yet the entity has "come through" with a shining hopefulness that should be as a light for many. And it may be only said to the entity:
11. Hold fast to the faith that has prompted and does prompt thee in thy dealings and thy relationships and thy activities with others; and ye will find - yet - greater contentment and peace coming in this experience.
12. As to the applications we find from the sojourns in the earth, here we find definite influences, definite urges arising through the very emotional nature of the entity.
13. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, among those who were associated with the frontiers-people.
14. The entity has an innate feeling at times of seeing the old mill, as well as those surroundings and those things that came about - in the northern but the eastern portion of the State.
15. There we find the entity gave of self in strength, physical and mental, to bring often quiet and peace out of chaos, and the activities of the varied groups or classes.
16. And these brought periods of development for the entity, in the name then Aisley Aspenwell - and the entity gained.
17. From same in the present we may find that in all of the associations and activities, if there is kept the patience, if there is kept the hold on the Holy One, the entity may find the greater joy and service.
18. Before that we find the entity was in the land now called the Palestine land.
19. There we find the entity was quite young during that age when the Master walked in the earth. And during those activities that followed same, the entity then knew much of the various tenets as were proclaimed; the turmoils that arose in the mind and the experience of many.
20. For being nigh unto the place called Bethany, the entity was acquainted with many of those who were as figures in the activities that became a part of the experience.
21. Hence we find in the present there often comes to the entity a harkening to those tenets and teachings, yea and even the voices that come from those things which the entity experienced - as Elois.
22. In the experience the entity gained, the entity lost, the entity gained. Persecutions, hardships were a portion of the entity's experience. Yet with the spreading of the teachings and those things that came from the activities of the many, there came to the entity a satisfaction and a contentment in those periods of activity.
23. The entity then was blessed with the many children, that became a part of the activities to carry on with those teachings as were presented.
24. Hence we will find the abilities of the entity in the present to direct those in activities where there are needs for the material gains, for the material livelihood, to disperse and dispense through such associations the gentleness, kindness and the fruits of the spirit.
25. For if the entity would find love, manifest same - but not extravagantly. If the entity would know hope and faith, just manifest same - but not to excess. If the entity would know patience, show same in thy dealings with thy fellow man. For as ye mete it to others, so must, so will it be meted to thee.
26. Before that we find the entity was in the land now called the Persian, when those peoples of the king's household were aroused through the activities that became a part of the expressions when Uhjltd established the 'city in the hills and the plains.'
27. The entity was among those of the king's lords' household, in the name then Sheuen.
28. Coming under those activities in the 'city in the hills and the plains,' the entity became as a nurse - as would be called today - in ministering to those who were ill, those who were in need of physical applications.
29. Thus the entity brought strength and hope into the experiences of the many.
30. And in those activities and lines of endeavor in the present might the entity find an outlet for that which has been and is gradually becoming a growth of self toward being of service to the many.
31. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there was the presenting of those who would purify the race, those who would burn the dross through the service in the Temple of Sacrifice, or those influences of the body for the preparation of same for a greater, holier and more spiritual offspring.
32. The entity was among those who were active in the services in the Temple Beautiful, and again we find the offspring many that brought into activity in many lands many of those tenets and teachings of those peoples during that sojourn.
33. Then the name was She-Math-Ne-Nar.
34. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
35. In most any field, as indicated, the entity may lend itself in such a manner as to bring not only the satisfying but the gratifying experiences of life; in the care for the young or the directing of the labors of those who must be directed for individual service. Thus may the entity lead or direct, and not only by words of mouth but by example, into those things that take hold upon the hearts and souls of men.
36. For it is not some great deed but little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept; and living that thyself that ye teach thy neighbor.
37. Ready for questions.
38. (Q) Please explain more specifically just what my life work should be for the greatest possible mental and spiritual development.
    (A) Just as indicated; either in the direction of the young or in directing those who must labor - whether in weaving, sewing, or ANY of those directions that take hold upon the lives of individuals.
39. (Q) What should be the entity's first steps in carrying out its life work?
    (A) Know what you desire to do, and know that the way is opened as the will and the purpose are directed as the self is given.
40. (Q) What were my past associations with Frances Steele? Explain the urges in the present life and advise me as to how I can make this association mutually beneficial for our spiritual development.
    (A) We do not find Frances Steele.
41. (Q) William Twamley, deceased.
    (A) We find a close association, but not a connection in the present.
42. (Q) Please explain for me what is meant by "soul-mate" in relation to my own spiritual development.
    (A) Those of any sect or group where there is the answering of one to another; as would be the tongue to the groove, the tenon to the mortise; or in any such where they are a complement one of another - that is what is meant by "soul-mate." Not that as from physical attraction, but from the mental and spiritual help.
43. We are through for the present.

    Copy to Self
    Copy to Ass'n file
    [Questions submitted but not asked:
Will I meet my soul-mate in this incarnation?
Would travel and research work of any kind in foreign countries lead to mental and spiritual development for me, and how should I go about to take the first steps that will lead to this activity? Please explain this urge for travel.
Is it possible for one to attain the Christ Consciousness in this life and thus not be necessary for a return incarnation to the earth plane - Please explain this in relation to my own mental and spiritual development.]

BACKGROUND

1. 3/14/38 She requested a Physical Rdg. and a Life Rdg. (See 1556-1): "I do so want to find my true place in life and any latent talents... Have been school teacher until illness, then had to go on W.P.A. as Counselor in Adult Education. Married but divorced - no children. Religious preference, Truth, and Occult Science - Metaphysical."

REPORTS

1. 6/25/38 Letter: Your letter and the 'reading' have been received and for which I am deeply grateful. I note the time was not the same as I kept for I had to be at work at that time. Would that make any difference?
It has answered the questions in my mind for my desire to go to Persia and Egypt and the Orient. I had felt I lived at the time of Jesus and often get glimpses of my life then - also felt I lived long long ago on this continent - so it has verified much. Can understand why I still desire to serve my fellow man as Christ would have me serve.
After all my past as given has not been so bad but wonder why I have had to have such a hard time in this life. What I have done or left unfinished in the past.
My only work as I take from reading is to help life [lift?] those I meet to become aware of their own Divinity and live my own life as nearly perfect as possible as I can be a pure channel for God to express through. I liked my names - may adopt one of them. Could you explain name of "Uhjltd"? It's new to me. I understand all pretty well and will try to live the very closest I know how to God - and let Him guide me. Am sorry not to be with you today but it was not possible. Would have enjoyed the breeze as it is very warm here. Hope it did not tax your strength too much. It has helped me very much, given me a new hope that I may serve in God's way, and eventually the financial worries will be cared for.
Thanking you more than words can convey for your sincere unselfish service to mankind and for your great kindness to me. I feel as I read it again and again I will be greatly helped and thus be better able to help others.
It is strange about the old mill - I have always loved pictures of them and to see them. As a child one was near where I lived, and two others about five miles away. Am so grateful to you.
