1. GC: You will have before you the information given thru this channel on the following dates: July 30, 1938 for [2246] and [...], Feb. 11, 1940 [1561-9] for Carmerson Corp., [2246] and [...], April 4, 1940 [1561-10] for [2246] and [2091], May 5, 1940 [1561-12] for Carmerson Corp., [2246] and [2091] and on May 15, 1940 [1561-13] for Carmerson Corp., together with the oil well now being drilled by Carmerson Corp., as directed by the information, in Smith County, Texas, midway between Big Sandy in Upshur Co., and Winona in Smith Co. Please explain the source of the information given, how it was transmitted, and explain the existing conditions. All information indicated oil production at less than 5,000 ft. The well is now below that depth. Why has the information not been accurate? What dependence can be placed in information of this character? Is there any way to insure its accuracy? This information is sought with the sincere desire to understand and present work of Edgar Cayce in the most helpful manner and with the hope of explaining the existing conditions to those concerned. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the information here, as to sources and manner of transmission of such.
3. As has been indicated oft, information of EVERY nature or character is through the mental processes of conscious and subconscious conditions of individuals or entities present or past, - as outlined in information which has been given.
4. As related to these individual operations, - we find that from all sources of such there are still those indications of productions in this area, at those depths that have been indicated.
5. That in these particular operations there has not proven as yet the production in a manner as indicated is because of the lack of the processes that indicate the handling of same; though apparently handled in the manner outlined through the information.
6. As we find, there IS production in those areas that are covered by the Carmerson Corporation.
7. As to whether this can be, or may be explained, will depend upon the attitudes of the individuals who are interested in same.
8. As to giving that there are hindrances, or those activities that have influenced or do influence, - these are to be judgements only as pertains to individual, or individual attitude.
9. As to the character of information through these channels, - as has oft been indicated, it is a question as to whether that given has been or is used for activities of the mental, physical or spiritual natures. Should it be turned into purely material manifestations it may often, does often, prove to be such as to produce quite a question mark as to the interpretation, the advisability, or the fact of such BEING of value to individuals seeking such.
10. As we have indicated, WE would NOT advise that such be done, - save as to the individual desire or purposes in their own activity.
11. As to the reliability of such information, - this is dependent upon the interpretation, the analysis, the desire of the individual or individuals seeking such to be manifested in their experience.

13. (Q) Why was the depth for oil production not correct? And why was the exact depth indicated if not correct? What led to the statement of this depth as producing level?
    (A) As just given, - we find that there IS oil production in the areas indicated. As to making same apparent in forms or manners to bring about a materialization, of course this becomes the question or problem that may be worked out only by the physical operations and activity.
14. (Q) Has the approach for information through this channel been wrong in any way?
    (A) We do not find it so.
    As we find, and as indicated, - DO NOT allow ANYTHING to interfere with there being brought production in these present operations.
    Use all physical means possible to show the indications of the strata through which production may be obtained.
15. (Q) What physical means are meant here, and what should be done now?
    (A) As indicated, continue the operations through the present formations; and we should FIND production in the sands.
    Then if it is not found, or not found feasible or plausible, DO NOT discard until there has been the electrifying of the whole areas penetrated, - through those methods of sounding for same, that are practical.
16. (Q) What was the source of the information -
    (A) (Interrupting) As indicated, it has been from all types of sources as outlined.
17. (Q) Is it advisable and wise for Edgar Cayce to attempt to give information of this nature under any circumstances?
    (A) As we have indicated in the above, it must be analyzed in the minds of the individuals seeking. As we have given, we would not ADVISE such.
18. (Q) Please give any other information and explanations that will help to clearly understand this situation.
    (A) As has been indicated, - these as we find are the conditions that exist.
