This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of August, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [1565].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. T. B. House, Mrs. Priester, Mr. Brown and Hugh Lynn Cayce. Born April 3, 1900, 6:55 A. M., Sedalia, Missouri.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions regarding this body that I will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the entity, and those relations with the Universe and Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present life, with those conditions as go, in the present earth plane, as those influences as have to do with those as are latent and exhibited in the present life.
3. In taking the position in the earth's plane, we find the entity coming under those influences of Pisces, with Mercury, Venus, and Uranus, with Jupiter and Saturn in the adverse influence. Hence we will find many contradictory conditions in the influence of this entity, and in the present earth's plane will's forces must be exercised, would the entity develop to that as it has aspired, and as there has been aspired for the entity. Though there will come many adverse influences, the greater portion of the early life will be the good influence, the adverse beginning about the thirty-seventh year. Then be prepared to meet those conditions when they arise, for these will be of the moral, mental, spiritual, and of all the financial nature, and the entity must be able to cope with these conditions.
4. In the influences, then, as are seen and exhibited in the present earth's plane, irrespective of the will - then, as we will see, those channels and those manners in which this must be exercised to bring about the better condition in the physical, in the mental, and in the financial way and manner:
5. Under the influence of Mercury, as we see, one then of an exceptional mental abilities, especially in the handling of business. The policies of the business, then, should ever be in that way of the sure and right, and ever should this entity be ruled or guided by one with the stable influence in their life, though the entity may find that in self, with the better influences, there may be developed that which will bring the greater joys to self, through the spiritual forces of the entity.
6. Then, those relations as are seen with Venus - the love influence in the life has ever been strong - these both in the home and in the relations with others. Hence, as is seen, with Saturn's adjunct with that of Venus - which comes in the thirty-seventh year of the entity's life - there are those conditions arising in these affairs that may bring consternation to the entity. Then prepare self, that the forewarned may be forearmed. The entity will ever find even under such stress and strain, that the spiritual insight, the spiritual truths, will ever be that condition in which there is safety, strength, and harmony.
7. In those influences as are seen in those of Uranus - in this makes the exceptional, or the nature as is seen as respecting those of the mysterious nature - those that make toward the entity that of which everyone speaks well of entity, yet many often hold little grudges against the entity, for actions or deeds, or slights as are felt, when perhaps same were not meant by the entity at all - yet in these same there may be seen there may be grudges builded, there may be those conditions brought about the entity, that would bring consternation and trouble later on, were the entity wholly dependent upon self in its actions towards individuals and, as it were, take the adverse nature toward such conditions. Then, well that the entity remember: Never do anything in spite, for the entity will rue the day that any spiteful or any attempt is made to do a thing for spite's sake.
8. In the influences of these, we find then in the present year will come the better influences for the entity to bring about, or surround self with those conditions, those elements, those natures of things through which the greater development may be builded in the entity, and in its future relation to individuals, things, places, and conditions, in the earth's sphere, for we find Uranus, with Jupiter, in that position, in the latter portion of the present year, where there will be brought about some changes, which should be necessary, especially in the expanding of business, relating to financial conditions - which would be beneficial, provided these are guided and directed aright, and entity not assuming whole charge of thing until the position and policies of self and others, as related with the entity, are well set, grounded and founded, in the spiritual forces of that that builds to the better forces in the physical plane.
9. In that relation we find, as Uranus and Jupiter are in the conjunction, or square, with each, near the fifteenth of October, these come, then, as that time when these changes may be expected in the relations with other individuals, and with conditions in general in the affairs of the earth, and the affairs of the entity, particularly as the relation with others, with whom he is associated at the present time in business relations. In this condition we would find, then, that well that that force as is seen and manifested in Jupiter's ever increasing force, which is of money, of power, of strength, of endurance - yet, as we see, Jupiter in that relation of the adverse influence, but with Uranus influence in square with same, and this the ruling forces in the entity, brings that good influence, or ennobling influence, that may be applied directly, and upon which the influence for the entity to follow - that in business, in social, in moral, in relation with the family, in relation with each and every condition that the entity contacts may bring better influences. Well that the entity find that spiritual influence - the bringing of first in the life that of its relation with the creative forces in the Universe, and make self as one with that force, that the better influences will predominate in every relation.
10. As to the characteristics as are seen in the individual in the present:
11. We find one of good mien - one of good appearance.
12. One easy to become acquainted with - one hard to remain well acquainted with.
13. One that is liked by many individuals, and hated by many.
14. One that is ever able to make many sales, and is a real salesman, see? yet many find fault with word, deed, and speeches - with the individual's actions - in after life, or in after years, for that condition exists, that when dealing with those whose influence in THEIR lives is such as to coordinate with those of the entity - good; when those of opposite - bad, see?
15. In those of the elements that go to make up the urges as are seen from the appearances in the earth's forces, we find these are as this:

In the appearance before this we find the entity in the southwest from the birth in the present earth's plane, then in the name Silas Markx, and the entity gained during that period of the first developments in that country, see? about the land now known as Santa Fe, see? and the entity then in the mercantile business, see? gaining through the assistance and aid as given to others. In the latter portions made miserable by feeling that the entity had been cheated by those who professed to be friends. Hence that innate feeling of the entity to never trust anyone to the fullest, complete extent, as it does its own self. Then, beware of setting self as a judge for others, for there has been given, "Vengeance is mine. I will repay, saith the Lord. Judge not, that ye be not judged, for with what measure ye mete it shall be measured unto you again - pressed down and running over."
17. In the one before this we find in that period of the oppressions of the Jews in England, when the period of the dissension arose among the ones being sent to colonists, see? The entity then among those who were banished for the attempting to contrive, or to hide those conditions as were called (though they were not) against the laws, concerning these banishments. Then in the name Hale, and the entity found the conditions to be oppressive through persecution, and swore much vengeance against others, even to the end. Losing, then, through that, as an attempt of an entity to usurp those conditions, or set self as a judge and as a mocker for others, who would be governed by rule of land and rule of the peoples. In the urge as is seen from this experience, we find that the entity ever desires to put the best appearance to those whom the entity feels in power or position, yet not the same mien to those who are in spiritual power.
18. In the one before this we find in the days when the walls of the Holy City were being rebuilt. The entity then among those who were in the first temple worship after its being cleansed and rebuilded. Then in the name Eliazker, and the entity gained through service in this position, yet when changes were made, and the house of Zadok were deposed, as it were, the entity made resentment to individuals, rather than carrying cause to the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. Then gaining and losing both in that experience, yet the urge as is seen, and that one to which the entity should claim and hold nearest and dearest in the present experience, is that of the love of worshipfulness in others, in the temple, in the outer place, and the entity should seek His Face, and in Him there will come the greater blessings in every way and manner - for, as has been given, "Seek the Lord in thy youth, and when thou art old thou will not depart from Him," for in Him is life, and light, and the light shineth into the dark places, searching out the secret thoughts of the heart, and making the ways straight, draws all men unto that way, for in this is the greater service.
19. As to the abilities of the entity, and to that which it may attain in the present earth's plane - as has been given, in this year, 1926, will be presented those changes, which would be well to make, provided they would be only in that way and that manner as has been seen is best for the entity's development to make such change, and the entity's abilities lie in business of selling, of association with others in business, will the entity apply first those principles as are set in the way of the Lord, for in Him is the way, and in Him is the light, and the Lord is the Giver of good gifts to those who love Him.
20. As to those conditions that the entity be warned of in the latter portion of life, these, as are seen, are forewarnings. Then, being forewarned, be forearmed, for the WILL - as is the gift of the Creator to man, made a little lower than the angels, with the power of choosing for self as to whether the entity that is given in the body will be One with the Creator or attempt to set up self in that position of atvariance with that Creator, as is seen in him who made war in heaven - in this position, then, the entity must build for self. The conditions are set, even as the Lord has given, "This day I have set before thee good and evil. Choose thou whom thy peoples and thy self will serve," for the Lord is not far off, but is in thine own heart, and the manner and way that the application of self, and self's abilities, to those entities, those individuals, about one's self, is that entity's conception, to others, of that creative force. Use, then, that thou hast in thy hands, as the means to correct many conditions as have been builded within thine own self, and make thyself first right with Him and His laws, through the service that THY SELF may render to thy brothers.

2. 7/28/26 Letter to EC from [1565]: "Dear Mr. Cayce: No doubt you have heard Mr. [257] mention my name to you. I am married to his sister, [558].
   "I should like to have you give me my horoscope rdg. I was born April 3, 1900, 6:55 A.M. at Sedalia, Mo.
   "I am in business in ..., Okla. and I am contemplating some change in the business. Will you advise me accordingly [Tailors - Importers] - it is about buying out one of the partners interests.
   "I am also thinking about opening up a branch store in Amarillo, Texas - is this a favorable move? What am I best suited for and just what are my selling capabilities? What must I guard against most? Please give me all advice, you can, for I am trying to make a big success and I am confident you can help me.
   "Would you please write me, here, ... Apt., ..., New York City, N.Y. I will be here for another week or so, then I am returning to Okla."

1. 11/04/26 Mother-in-law Mrs. [325]'s letter: "I have been reading [1565]'s reading (Life Rdg.) that you gave him and I think it is fine - also Mr. [5459]'s (Physical Rdg.)."
2. 9/15/29 Wife, Mrs. [558], submitted questions for another reading, saying: "Would it be better for him to accept an eastern proposition as offered to him and leave ..., Okla. for a bigger field?... It is very important for [1565] to know these things as [257] (my brother) is talking about us coming to N.Y."
3. 10/04/29 Mother-in-law, Mrs. [325]'s letter: "Please, Judge, let [1565] have the reading as he needs advice. I want to bring [1565] here (to N.Y.) and then I will have all of my children around me."
4. 1/10/30 Mr. [1565] and his brother-in-law, Mr. [257], submitted questions:
   "What particular branch of business am I best fitted for? Is it advisable for me to move my family to N.Y.C.? What opportunities are there for me in opening a chain of buffets, such as I now have in ..., Okla.? I am liquidating my tailoring business in ..., Okla. this year. Have you any suggestions as to just what procedures to make about liquidating. Is my plan timely? Can you give me some idea as to what the future holds for me. Please tell me something about my health. Tell me everything I should know that will help me to make a success in the financial world."
