9/08/51 We heard about her winning a scholarship after a
month's study at a dance studio in N.Y.C. The teachers
said of her: "What makes [
1566] such an unusual dancer is
that it is very seldom that a good ballet dancer can also
be a good acrobat." [It was indicated that she also was
studying dramatics] "Professional dancing is her main
ambition and acting comes in second... Next to dancing
[
1566] enjoys swimming and horseback riding. She also dances
with her sister, [
2308], as a partner... [
1566] has the body
and the understanding for dancing and the ability to get
along with people, which is half the battle of a successful
dancer."
10/20/58 Mother reported: "[
1566] is in N.Y. now and has
gotten a job. She was chosen from a group of 50 girls,
together with 7 other girls, to dance in a chorus. The
selections were made quickly, and since she had not done
any dancing for nearly two years (having studied dramatics
mostly in California - college) she was most surprised to
be selected."
3/19/60 She got married and continued her interests by
working in the Little Theatre.
12/02/61 She had a son born, and
11/08/63 twin girls.
9/73 GD heard that she has been working
2-3 years as a
typist but is now stopping work to become a full time
mother; she is now married to another young man and has
two more darling children - who all look alike!
