Thus the reactions produced, especially to the locomotory
forces, would be either a thinning of the walls of the
arteries (and produce a leakage that might cause a pressure -
as a stroke) or such irritations as to cause the activities
between the upper and lower hepatics to allow accumulations
that produce pressures in the nervous systems. That is, the
pressures would come between cerebrospinal and sympathetic,
as to cause either a rash (as has been produced at times,
especially in warm weather) or a thinning of the walls
through the LYMPH; thus producing disturbances to the
pulmonaries or soft tissue.
Yet as we find, if precautionary measures are taken in these
directions, then a great deal of this inclination as well as
the disturbances that have arisen at times in the functioning
of the system, may be eliminated; thus allowing a great deal
of activity and opportunity for mental and spiritual and
physical development for the body as yet.
As we find then, in making applications for correction,
these things are to be taken into consideration:
First, there must be the producing of an equilibrium
throughout the activities of the system itself. Hence we
would use the Radio-Active Appliance as a part of those
things that would be most beneficial in making rest for the
body, in quieting the nerve reactions, and aiding throughout
the whole in producing a better equilibrium in the
extremities of the body.
This as we find had best be used in periods; that is: Use it
from thirty minutes to an hour each day for about ten days to
two weeks; then leave off for five days; then begin again.
Keep it up in this manner for some little time; that is, for
two to three months - and then after that whenever needed.
While the Appliance is being used, be sure to keep the plates
or anodes very clean - or polished with emery paper before
each application. In the attachments we would circulate the
body; that is:
One anode to the Appliance would be marked, so that it would
ALWAYS be the one to be attached FIRST. Then:
First day: Make the first attachment to the right wrist, the
last attachment to the left ankle.
Second day: The first would be to the left wrist, the last
to the right ankle.
Third day: First attachment would be to the left ankle,
the last to the right wrist.
Fourth day: Make first attachment to the right ankle, last
to the left wrist.
Thus a circuit will have been made of the body, you see; the
first attached being the positive, the last the negative.
Then start over, you see; continuing for the ten days;
rotating in this manner - then the rest period, etc.
And we would have the GENERAL osteopathic adjustments with
special reference to corrections in those areas of the
secondary cardiac plexus centers, or those between the 2nd
and 3rd dorsal to the 9th dorsal; COORDINATING the rest of
the system with these.
Not that these are to take the place of the general massage
that is a part of the application; but cleanse the colon
occasionally, too, with the hydrotherapy treatments and the
massage.
But the specific manipulations would be from the OSTEOPATHIC
method; these given twice a week for periods of three weeks,
leave off a week, and then again for three weeks - then a
rest period of a week. And the third period should be
sufficient for this period of corrections.
In the matter of the diet, keep near to an eighty percent
alkalin to twenty percent acid-reacting diet.
And do not eat these combinations: White bread and white
potatoes and spaghetti during the same day, much less the
same meal; that is, no two of these during the same day.
Do not take the beans, peas or legumes that are of the
bulbular nature WITH meats.
No fried foods, then, at any time.
Do these and we will find the bettered conditions for
this body.
Ready for questions.
We are through with this Reading.
