TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Now as we find, conditions in the present show rather the inclination for a lapsing back to the greater disturances that first caused the inconvenience and anxiety for the body.
3. We find that this lapse arises mostly from the great nervous strain and anxiety the body has been and continues to be under. This anxiety as of fear, as of overtaxing the system, produces a greater quantity of the acids that arise from energies being used in the system without the drosses or the excess acids being eliminated - by the muscular forces, the mental forces being overtaxed.
4. Thus the body is left rather with the inclinations and the feeling of being very weak, very insufficient. Thus there is produced upon the very nature of the disturbance which HAS been indicated, rather the excess of the combinations of conditions through the body; as to produce the static condition in the muscular forces and the nerve system themselves.
5. As we find, it would be well for the body now to continue with the manipulations, gently given, though, in the specific centers where there is the greater coordination with the superficial and the cerebrospinal circulation; with deeper manipulations in the lumbar, the 9th dorsal, and the 3rd, 2nd and 4th cervical, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd dorsal.
6. Then the low electrical forces combined with same, as have been indicated for the body.
7. Occasionally we would use the Epsom Salts Baths. These may be inclined at times to produce more of a weakness, but the body MUST ELIMINATE the poisons if there would come a general reaction that would be the more beneficial to the body.
8. Use stimulating foods for the body in the present; such as the Beef Juice - not taken other than as a stimulation to the diet, to the digestion and to the strengthening of the body. Hence it would be taken in small quantities often; but not broth, rather the Beef Juice. Not more than a teaspoonful would be taken at a time, but taken in sips even then - taking ten minutes to swallow that much, see? gradually sipping same, with a little cracker eaten with it. This will make for strengthening of the body, and make for the general conditions of improvement, and build greater resistances throughout the body.
9. Also it would be well that there be taken Malted Milk with the yolk of an egg, and a little bit of spirits frumenti or pure apple brandy. This would, of course, be prepared with the egg; a little poured in at the time - and about a spoonful to the yolk of one egg; this beaten well together, then added to the Malted Milk as it would be prepared with the water for the proper consistency for a drink. But this, too, would be taken in sips - a glassful taken during a whole day, about three to four times, and a quarter of the quantity sipped at one time, see?
10. As to the anxieties in the mental forces of the body, as related to conditions which have existed:
11. Keep an even balance as far as possible. Engage self in constructive things that have to do not so much with the thought of self as the thought of help and hope that may be brought to others.
12. Doing that, we may find the better forces being brought for this body.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What causes severe soreness in my whole head, especially in the morning on rising?
    (A) Accumulations of poisons not properly eliminated from the system. Hence as indicated, about once or twice in a week - or about twice in ten days for the first two times - the Epsom Salts Bath would be well. This may be very beneficial. It should be made a little above body-temperature, and remain in same for thirty minutes - with the body covered. But let the body be THOROUGHLY rubbed down afterward and stimulated with oil - an equal combination of Olive Oil and Oil of Pine; these rubbed thoroughly into the body. Then rub down after that with alcohol. This will make for a stimulation also, and rid the body of these disturbing forces.
15. (Q) What will relieve the difficult breathing?
    (A) A better stimulation to the circulation, as has just been indicated.
16. (Q) How long will the pain and soreness and stiffness continue before I see some improvement in my joint action? (caused by the treatment)
    (A) How long before you will do the things that have been indicated for the body! If these are kept, then we will find that the treatments will not be severe on the body, but will stimulate to better activity.
17. (Q) What can I do to overcome the terrible feeling of weakness?
    (A) As indicated, have those stimulations for better assimilation - and the activity in the influence for others.
Do these and we would bring the better forces for this body, [1631].

REPORTS

1. 10/11/38 Dr. Mary Miller's letter which was received a couple of days later: "I cannot see very much improvement in Mrs. [1631] at this time and have recommended that she have a check reading for further procedure. She has asked me to submit some questions but I feel that since there is so little change, perhaps we would better depend upon your Information without interference. The first outline of the treatment was followed exactly but since then she has shown some disinclination to carry on and has had very few treatments. Part of this may be due to the recent loss of her husband."
