Edgar Cayce Readings, 1640-1

(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

EC: Yes.
Now as we find, there are definite disturbances in the physical forces of this body. And the basis and sources of the disturbances, while they are rather compound in their nature, arise primarily from a source of infection; which as we find is a part of the glandular disturbance as related to that coordination between the upper and lower hepatic circulation.
Hence it finds its activity or manifestation in the nerve reactions, that cause portions of the body to become supersensitive; as well as those reactions in which there is lack of the full coordination in the locomotory forces of the body-functioning.
These as we find, then, cause the greater disturbance with the body.
Hence we find a disturbance in the blood stream, and the activity between the heart and the upper hepatic circulation - or the liver; though not organic in its nature.
Also there are some effects to the organs of the sensory system, through a sympathetic reaction.
We find this also is the cause or basis of those conditions that arise with the body as related to the digestive forces. This is a reaction, and yet at times appears to be the source or the cause. But the basis of the condition, as we find, is about the gall duct's reaction and the glandular forces as to the eliminating system.
As we find, then, in making the helpful reactions for the body:
First we would have the corrections osteopathically. There should not be required more than ten or twelve of such adjustments; made in the areas specifically between the 4th dorsal and 4th lumbar. Both of these necessitate being coordinated, then, one with the other; for they deflect the activities of the locomotory forces. Yet those portions should be covered from which impulses are received, as from the 9th dorsal - from which the activities of the central nervous system radiate to the organs of the hepatic circulation.
Then also, with these, we would apply the low electrical vibrations that would be from a sinusoidal reaction; from the plexus as would govern the emptying of the gall duct - and stimulating a secretive activity of the liver itself. But use these in a LOW form - not too high, as to cause violent reactions.
In the diets we would keep close to the alkalin-producing foods, letting vegetables and fruits form the better part of the diet throughout. These may be raw or they may be combined with cooked foods. Preferably have the vegetables thoroughly cooked, and in their own juices and salts rather than in or with flesh or meats of any nature.
These as we find offer those measures for the correction of the CAUSES of the disturbances, and would relieve the tendencies through the system as related to the whole of the eliminations, the nerve forces, and the tautness produced in portions of the muscular forces of the locomotory system, as well as the quick, jerky sensations that occur at times.
Ready for questions.
Do these then, as we find, and we may bring the better conditions to this body, Mrs. [1640].
We are through for the present.
