This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1641], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; and answering the questions as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; [1641].
3. As we find, conditions are very good in most respects through this body in the physical. There needs to be, as we find, some precautions taken as to conditions which are reflected in physical forces of the body, which have to do with the glandular system and the circulation between the sensory system and the secondary or sympathetic and cerebrospinal system. Organically, then, we find the conditions of this body good.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body; [1641] we are speaking of, present in this room:
5. In the blood supply we find indicated in the manner of the circulation through some portions of the body, as in nasal passages, throat, and the head, those tendencies for clogging in the superficial circulation and thus irritations at times are the result. These cause little hindrances in the activity, as reflexes for the eyes, for the throat and voice, in the ears at time; though there are no organic disturbances as we find in the present.
6. In the nerve forces of the body it is indicated from the manner of reflexes to the glandular forces which are related to digestion, or related to general eliminations as related to the sensory organisms, that these have been under stress and strain.
7. With activities in the open and a regular exercise, and then the keeping in accord as may be indicated for the sensory system, we may keep a well balanced condition through this body.
8. These, as we find, in the sympathetic forces are from the emotions of the body, not an organic disorder, and it would be well - the body should get married. It would be better for the general physical reflexes for the body in the activities and the responsibility as this brings for the body, mind and the reactions in same.
9. As to the physical forces or those that produced these, as indicated these are just tendencies.
10. Then we would have prepared for this body this character of inhalant, which will work with the activities of the organs for purifying those areas through which sensory influences are at times clogged. Thus we would prepare as this: Take at least a six ounce large-mouth bottle. In this we would prepare two vents. These are not to enter the solution. The vents should be so that they may be corked when not in use. Then add these in the solution, put them in the order named:

    Grain alcohol (at least 90% proof)...........4 ounces,
Oil of Eucalyptus...........................20 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp........................5 minims,
Rectified Creosote...........................2 minims,
Compound Tincture of Benzoin................15 minims,
Tolu in Solution............................20 minims.

    When this is to be used, and use it on arising of a morning and before retiring of evening, shake the solution together. Then inhale deep through the nostril, either side of same, about twice. Then in the throat once. These will act as purifiers and also will assist the body-functionings as each of these have their effect upon the activity of the organs themselves. The lungs, the activities of the eucalyptus and the activity from the Tolu are to clarify or purify the lung tissue itself. The activity of the Turpentine is to act upon kidneys and liver for the assisting in tuning or toning the activity with organs for better eliminations through the system, while the other ingredients as they act upon the mucous membranes give better actions through the lymph circulation in the body-forces.

13. (Q) Please comment on the following:- Thyroid disturbance.
    (A) This is merely a portion of the glandular forces which will be purified through the activity of that which has been indicated to be absorbed in the action of the body-forces.
14. (Q) The abdominal pain and discomfort?
    (A) As there are those purifications through the circulation by the activities of that given upon the blood stream, these should gradually disappear.
    It would be well for the body to take a regular exercise for the shoulder and head and neck. These, though, are outside but don't take it just occasionally. Of a morning three or four movements of the body, as: Rise on toes (this is before dressing) and gradually raise the arms high above the head at the same time, and then, as on the toes, the circulation of the head and neck. These will aid abdominal muscles, aid the abdominal activity, as well as the whole of the respiratory system. Do this about three times of morning when first arising, of evening just before retiring. You'll sleep better, you'll feel better.
15. (Q) Intestinal disorder?
    (A) These are included in the abdominal area.
16. (Q) Excessive sweating in throat area.
    (A) All of these are from this glandular activity and it has been indicated in those things to be done.
17. (Q) What foods should be avoided?
    (A) It is rather the combination of foods; it is those which should be stressed that we would give. Stress leafy vegetables for this body and fruits of every nature. Not too much meats at any time, especially during hot weather. These should be provided most when there is the greater excesses of physical labor and not mental labor. But keeping those stressed in the body as given will be much preferably.
18. (Q) Is tobacco harmful for this body?
    (A) This used in moderation would be well, for it supplies some poisons necessary to make better, or that which will make better, digestion. Excess use would be bad for the body, for it would block the throat and nasal conditions, but we will find that moderation is not bad.
    Then the mental attitude. Remember, these are part of the whole of the mental and spiritual and material results. Depend upon the spiritual attitude the entity keeps. Do that and we'll make bettered conditions. Be creative, never negative in the thoughts.

BACKGROUND

1. 7/17/38 He obtained a Life Reading, 1641-1.
2. 7/17/44 Comments immediately preceding 1641-2:
   "Intestinal disorder - after so-called catarrhal - dengue fever. Irregular eliminations followed this condition. Nervous tension - couldn't relax - eyes weak - obtained glasses - eyes alright in the present - 20-20. Benign cyst in thyroid gland - doctors wanted to operate, but I wouldn't consent. Condition disappeared when two or three massages were used - with spirits of Camphor - used off and on for three or four months - used regularly at first. [This was suggested by EC in his conscious state for use by [1641]. GD.] While in the south (central) Pacific - where it is very hot - after a long period of time - from excessive sweating - a heat rash would develop...in my case it is interesting to note that most of the sweat came around the area of the neck. When I would awake in the morning, my pillow and sheet would be quite wet around the neck area - comparatively dry everywhere else. These conditions clear up and re-occur from time to time."

REPORTS

1. 6/45 Mr. [1641] reported complete recovery from all symptoms. He also massaged the wart with Castor Oil nightly until it disappeared. EC had told him (consciously) that Castor Oil would remove the wart.
2. GD's note: I heard that Mr. [1641] in 7/77 went on a trip out west and was in an auto accident and had to go to the hospital. They found that he had a brain tumor. He died in Sept. or Oct. 1977.
