To a 6 ounce container, that may be kept tightly corked -
but so prepared that there will be a vent through the cork
for the air to pass through when the inhalations are taken;
or have two vents that are kept corked, you see, except when
in use - add, in the order named:
Pure Grain Alcohol........................4 ounces,
Oil of Eucalyptus........................20 minims,
Rectified Creosote........................5 minims,
Oil of Turp..............................10 minims,
Compound of Tincture of Benzoin..........15 minims,
Canadian Balsam...........................5 minims.
Inhale through the nostril as well as through the throat,
about twice each day; before retiring at night and upon
arising of morning. Shake the solution, then inhale;
taking out both small corks and inhaling through one of
the vents, you see, letting the air circulate through
the other - inhaling through the longer vent, or tube,
- see?
Do these.
Be mindful of the diet, that principally the vegetables and
fruit juices - as well as vegetables and fruits as the diet
- are kept. Little or no meat. No fried foods or any kind.
These kept, in the order and manner as indicated, we will
bring - with PERSISTENCY - bettered conditions for this
body.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What causes the nausea?
(A) The pressure upon the stomach, especially of a morning
when the body is inclined to be empty. This is
regurgitation. Hence the necessity of the colon
irrigations to cleanse the system from this toxic force.
(Q) What causes the nervous exhaustion?
(A) Toxemia!
Do these things as we find, that are indicated, and we will
bring the better conditions for this body.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
7/15/38 Letter dictated to her daughter: "I shall give
you below a description of the disorders which have been
troubling me and from which I am hoping to be relieved.
"Just before I came out here from my home in New York
[to N.J.] I was examined physically by my doctor - who
gives me periodic examinations - and he found no NEW trouble.
However, I continue to suffer from spells of exhaustion and
of nausea, and have lately - felt palpitations. I
understand that the NAUSEA is due to a gall bladder
condition, which ailment I have had for many years, but have
had no operation. The exhaustion I am told is due to
nerves, or to emotional disturbances. It is true that I
react quickly to disturbing news or unsettled conditions
about me. The palpitations are of recent occurrence, and
may also be due to nervous strain. In the mornings, the
nausea is most noticeable, and causes dizziness when I
arise. As you can realize these combined symptoms keep my
energy low, and prevent me from living a normal, active
life. I might also add that I am subject to Hay Fever (from
Ragweed) toward the end of August."
