Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dear Mr. Cayce,
I have two boys, one 16 years old and the other is 10.
The boy who is 16 has been in a private school all of his
school life but has never learned to read, he can write
real well that is if he has a copy to go by. He is as tall
as any boy his age but is underweight. He is very nervous
and doesn't want to do anything but sit and play the radio,
he can tell bits of what he hears over the radio. He likes
to have his way and is very hard to control will not mix
with children, likes to be alone.
The boy 10 has a very different disposition, mixes well with
children. Is very controlled, but he is still in the second
grade. We have to keep him in private school also, he does
real well in a private school, but when he is in public
school he can't seem to think in a crowd. He is small to
his age weighs 58 pounds.
He can talk well but has a way of stopping between words,
the older boy doesn't talk very much.
We had them examined by Dr. Bouderant in Mobile, he gave
us very little encouragement, said the older boy's mind had
developed about as much as a six year old boy, the ten year
old boy's mind had developed to the extent of an eight year
old boy.
Have you ever given readings on children of this type?
Mr. [
779] has recommended you to us, gave us some literature
to read, we are very much impressed with the work you are
doing.

Mr. [...] has been able to get any cooperation from a
Dr. to help him in his boy's [

is a mighty fine fellow. He also is one of our Church
Board Members..."
10/26/38 Letter from EC to Mr. [

from Mr. [...]. Do hope he can get some help for his boy
[

man in N.Y. that I know, but guess that is out of the
question..."
