4/18/44 [
1695]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I was sorry that I had to leave in such haste Saturday, but
my Aunt wanted to take the twelve o'clock bus and I was
forced to do so. I should like to have talked to you and
especially did I want to thank you in person for your
kindness in working my reading in when you are so pressed for
time. I shall never forget you for it.
I want you to know that the reading was a real help and I
shall try to carry out the good advice given. It has given
me courage to carry on. My brother hasn't as yet secured
employment, but I am hoping and praying from day to day that
he will. As the reading stated, the decisions will have to
be made by himself and come from within himself. This no one
can do for him. However, I shall do what I can in the way of
encouragement.
It was rather a coincidence that on Friday night (before my
reading) before retiring one of the chapters which I read in
the Bible was the 14th chapter of St. John and the first
verse of this chapter was quoted in my reading on Saturday.
It is a very beautiful chapter, I think, but it was only
recently that I really understood the meaning of it.
You have been a great consolation to me in a silent sort of a
way. I think you will know what I mean. May God bless you
and your dear wife.
With many, many thanks again, I am
Very sincerely,

is doing okay. She married the man she was engaged to some
years ago, not the one she asked about in the readings.
