10/30/38 Husband [...]'s ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Your Health reading for Mrs. [
1704] was received by me two
weeks ago. I arranged to carry out the suggested procedure
under the supervision of Dr. Chas. H. Norfleet of 240
Culver Road, Rochester. He arranged for a nurse to give
Mrs. [
1704] the first Colon Irrigation on Wednesday, a week
ago, she had the second one on Saturday Oct. 22nd (A week ago
yesterday). The third irrigation was scheduled for Tuesday
of last week. However, last Sunday morning (one week ago)
Mrs. [
1704] had one of her attacks, with attending
convulsions. They were quite severe and lasted for about 2
1/2 hours. I called in Dr. Jetty our regular physician who
has been attending her. He admits his impotence and can
only ease her condition by hypodermic injections and,
because of the severity of the convulsions, administered
ether. During these attacks I called in a Nurse for a few
days until Mrs. [
1704] recovers her strength again, in this
case until Wednesday or three days. The only remedy Dr.
Jetty prescribes is two 1/2 grain Phenobarbital pills, a
bromide, to keep her relaxed. I felt it unnecessary to tell
Dr. Jetty of your reading etc.
Your diagnosis and suggested treatment appealed to me very
strongly and worthy of 100% COOPERATION.
When starting your treatments, Mrs. [
1704] discontinued the
Phenobarbital pills. Was this the right thing to do?
On Tuesday of this week I believe Mrs. [
1704] will be strong
enough to continue on your plan. Should she take the THIRD
irrigations then or start all over again? By this I mean
that by reason for her set-back, shall she have THREE
irrigations NOW before going on to "hot applications" &
osteopathic aid? As I have to leave on a business trip
early Tuesday morning, I will appreciate your wiring me,
collect, your advice on Monday. Irrigations and hot
applications will be made by a nurse to follow your
instructions to the letter.
11/01/38 Advise another colonic and beginning hot applications
and treatments suggested.
