4/03/25 EC's letter to [
1713]:
My dear Miss [
1713]
I beg your pardon for not replying to yours of the 21st
sooner, but we are very glad to try to explain any part of
the reading that we can. Of course I can only give you my
interpretation of same from a normal viewpoint, and I hardly
think that's the same as is gotten in the readings, yet I try
as far as is within me to judge such by the past experience.
I, too, was glad to note in the reading that you were
constantly on the improve. I am sure what is meant by the
retraction is, the body in its improvement retraces, as it
were, the conditions through which it has passed in reaching
the abnormal condition; consequently, you have at times,
perhaps days, in which you feel dull and leadened, and there
are times when you, to a greater or lesser degree, have many
of the pains or uncomfortable feelings of all the old ills,
yet these pass away when you get in motion, as it were.
This, I am sure, is what is meant by retraction.
Now, as to the last question [Par. 17-A], of course this is
of an entirely different nature, and as I would gather from
it, it indicates there IS someone, or will be someone, whom
you already know, or will know, that will be the right
person. Perhaps you do not think so at the present time, but
you will come to the realization that it is the right one.
This is the best as I can explain it, and I hope will be
satisfactory to yourself.
We certainly thank you for your interest and your
consideration in the work, and we appreciate hearing from
you at any time, and hope that we may at all times prove of
service.
With kindest personal regards,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC:GD]
