GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:
EC: Yes.
Now as we find with this body, there arises in the circulatory forces the inability of the coordinations which produce the activity necessary in coagulation.
And the lymph glands, as well as the circulation of the lymph internally, are those involvements; arising from a humor as thrown off by the nerve system.
So, there is the incoordination between the superficial and the cerebrospinal circulatory force OF the nervous system. Thus at days or periods the body will appear to be much improved, and then suddenly - as if from no cause - there is again the nervous racking that produces the abrasions, as well as inflammatory forces which affect not only the locomotories but all of the involuntary nerve forces of the system.
While the applications which are being made are beneficial as we find at times, there would rather be the lower form - apparently - of electrical vibrations, carrying with same the vibratory forces of elements such as Gold, Silver AND Iodine - these taken separately, but alternately.
And then these, with the lights - those that are colored, or varied so that the effects of these may be through the breaking of the waves of the light as affect the body by exposure, would prove the more beneficial and bring the better conditions for this body.
These applications, then, the low electrical vibratory forces, would be of the static, - or of the Wet Cell Appliance. The first day, or one day, use in same the Chloride of Gold, in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of distilled Water. In each case where solution is used, there should be at least four and a half to five ounces prepared for each charge, see? When using the Gold Solution, the attachments would be, - the small or copper plate to the 4th lumbar plexus; the larger or nickel plate to the lacteal duct and umbilicus plexus, or near to the active force opposite the gall duct center, but a little below. Keep attached for twenty to thirty minutes, on the day this is given.
The next day use the Silver Solution, using only a two percent Nitrate of Silver, - and apply not longer than twenty minutes in the beginning. Make these attachments, - the small plate to the 9th dorsal, the larger to the liver plexus - or close to the area just below the rib, or under the upper portion of the stomach and its entrance to the duodenum. Keep ALL connections (with each solution) and leads through the solutions CLEAN when not in use.
Commercial strength Atomidine would be used the next day, - the attachments being, the smaller plate or copper plate to the 4th dorsal plexus, and the larger plate - through which the solution passes - to the lacteal duct plexus. Keep this attached for thirty minutes.
Continue alternating these in this manner.
Each day we would use the light rays, - once the Infra Red. Break this, the Infra Red, with a green light, - this between the Infra Red and the body.
The next day use the ultra-violet. This also should be broken with the green light.
When using the Sun Light, or clear light, break with the blue light. This would be projected, of course, to that area between the body and the light source, or light itself.
Using these, added to the manner of activity, and with the other properties as have been given to be administered, will bring for the body the better results.

(Q) What is the nature of my condition?
(A) As indicated, the inability of the cellular force in the superficial and deep circulation to form proper coagulation and inflow of the circulatory forces. It arises, as indicated, from NERVOUS or NERVE conditions, or nerve exhaustion; nerves not coordinating in their centers from the cerebrospinal to the superficial or sympathetic or vegetative system.
(Q) Will the condition involve other parts of my body, and which ones?
(A) The conditions which arise naturally produce poisons that must be carried out, either through some portion of the eliminating system; thus gradually involving organs.
Principally, to be sure, as indicated, the liver is to be stimulated, - and the lower or the hepatic circulation, or kidney circulation.
(Q) When can I expect fairly complete recovery?
(A) If these suggestions indicated are carried out perfectly, by the time there is the need for the second recharging of the low electrical vibratory forces, or the electrical machine, there should be DEFINITE changes for CURATIVE and CORRECTIVE forces.
(Q) Will my general health remain good?
(A) The general health should be improved also, by the clearing and the allaying of all the nerve tensions in the body.
(Q) Will I be able to continue my work and for how long?
(A) Should be able to continue the work, when these conditions have cleared.
(Q) When will I be able to get about successfully?
(A) This depends upon how WELL the applications are carried out, and how CONSISTENTLY all influences are kept; and, naturally, the response of the body and the CONSISTENCE with which the activities mental and physical coordinate and cooperate with the applications.
(Q) Can I drive an automobile?
(A) This would be many periods off, though, before this should be accomplished.
Do these if we would bring the better conditions for this body.

In answer to your letter of December 1, 1938, I wish to state that December 13, at 3:30 P. M. is satisfactory to me, and I shall be in the office of Dr. D. Goldblatt, 300 Central Park West, New York City, at that time.
In obtaining the physical reading I should appreciate answers to the following questions:
1. What is the nature of my condition? 2. What is the cause of my condition? 3. How long will it last? 4. What can be done to treat the condition? 5. Will the condition involve other parts of my body, and which ones? 6. When can I expect fairly complete recovery? 7. Will my general health remain good? 8. Will I be able to continue my work and for how long? 9. When will I be able to get about successfully? 10. Can I drive an automobile?
If the above time is not satisfactory, I shall appreciate your writing to me for another appointment. When you send your report, mail it to my own address, as printed above.

1/20/39 [1758]'s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce:
About four weeks ago I received your psychic reading of me dated Dec. 13, 1938, for which I thank you very much.
It is most amazing and interesting to find that through your psychic ability you have been able to diagnose my condition. However, there are a few points in my mind that require clarification, and I would very much appreciate your answering them for me.
As to the wet cell appliance mentioned in the reading, I have already ordered and received same, and shall soon commence treatment with it. Referring to the second page of the reading, mention is made of using "the light rays, once the Infra Red. Break this, the Infra Red, with a green light - this between the Infra Red and the body."
What I do not understand is what is meant by breaking this Infra Red with a green light. What sort of light is it? Is it a glass filter, or is it made from another material? Where can I obtain same? Then you mention using the ultra-violet. For this I have already obtained a G.E. sun Lamp, using a mercury vapor bulb. Is this correct?
You also mention using the sun light, or clear light, breaking this with a blue light. What is this sun light to consist of, and what sort of blue light is used with it? Does this mean that a carbon arc lamp is the source of sun light, and what sort of carbons should be used with this?
Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting your son, and found him to be most interesting and enthusiastic. You my well be proud of him. It is at his suggestion that I am seeking the above information from you. Also please mail me any printed material you have pertaining to your Association, of which I have recently become a member.

Dear Dr. [1758]:
Have yours of the 20th - thank you for same. Glad to know you find something interesting in the information - and believe you like so many others will find amazing results will you give the suggestion a fair trial.
This suggestion of breaking the light ray with different colored glass has been given several times for special conditions - one makes or has made a frame with the colored glass in same so that it will be say ten inches from the body when the Infra Red is used. Dr. Dobbins treated a patience [patient] who had such lights used on them. He can possibly tell you just how this was handled. Would ask Hugh Lynn my son to get the information from him for you - or call him on phone (Dr. Dobbins). Yes, the Mercury vapor lamp is the correct one.
The sun light - I think is the carbon arc light called the Sun lamp. Am not positive but think it has a solid and a cored carbon. This broken with the Blue just as the Infra Red is with the green.
Had such a series of lights given for a lady [Mrs. [757]] in Cal some years ago. Her husband who had been a Dr. administered these with marvelous results - so am told, for have never met either of these in person. Be glad to give name and address and let you write them direct if you wish.
Hope this clears this for you - and that you will soon see wonderful results.

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Herewith I am enclosing my check for Ten Dollars in payment of a check reading for myself made for me by your son for Wednesday May 10th, 1939 at 3.30 P.M. This date is satisfactory to me and I shall be at the office of Dr. David Goldblatt (300 Central Park West, NYC), at that time.
There are some points that I wish to clear up, and I submit some questions which you might wish to answer for me.
(1) What caused my condition and how long will it last? (2) Am I using the wet-cell appliance correctly and do the solutions such as the Gold-chloride, the Silver nitrate and the Atomidine deteriorate? are they still good? (3) Am I using the Infra-red and the Ultra-violet correctly and at the proper distance from the body? I am applying these to the back only, or shall I apply them to the front of the body also? (4) Am I using the green and the blue lights in conjunction with the infra-red and ultra-violet correctly? (5) Do the solutions of gold-chloride, silver-nitrate or Atomidine have any effect on the digestion and are they absorbed in the system or do they have a vibratory effect in the body? (6) Should I take any kind of medicament? (7) Should I take any kind of massage or exercise? (8) Shall I continue my work, or is it harmful to me? (9) Should I drive an automobile if it is equipped with manual controls to operate entirely by hand similarly to what President Roosevelt has?
