This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of January, 1939, in accordance with request made by the stepfather, Mr. [...] through Mr. [437], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

Time and Place: 10:40 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J.

TEXT

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them:
  2. EC: Yes.
  3. Now as we find, there are distortions or disturbances through the structural portions of the body, as an EFFECT of disturbances to the lymph and the circulation as related to the muscular tendons of the system.
  4. These have gradually grown in such a manner that there is the lack of the ability to give other than that as may be a helpful or beneficial application towards averting further disturbances.
  5. Yet those applications which have been made from time to time, as we find, have been partially in keeping with the best influences and forces for the body.
  6. As we find, then, there should be the greater precautions taken with the diet; that there is a sufficient supply of calcium. Though it has been indicated that this has been or is in excess, we find that it has been brought to NIL in the body.
  7. We would use then a little Calcios as a part of the diet, once or twice or three times a week; this would be found to be most helpful to the circulation and to the balance that may be kept for helpful forces in the structural activity.
  8. Again we would give that there be a massage with Peanut Oil, over the areas especially of the lumbar, the plexus where there are the static forces; the arms, hands and the limbs. This would be massaged thoroughly into the muscular forces of the body.
  9. Also we would use the low electrical vibratory forces of the Wet CELL Appliance, though this would be in this instance used on the extremities of the body - on opposite sides, and the change would be only in this manner:
  10. The copper plate would be attached first to the right wrist, while the nickel plate (the same size as the copper, in this instance) would be attached last to the left ankle.
  11. Next day attach the copper plate to the left wrist, then the nickel plate to the right ankle.
  12. The next day, the copper plate would be attached to the left ankle, the nickel to the right wrist.
  13. The fourth day, the copper plate would be to the right ankle, the nickel to the left wrist.
  14. Continue alternating the attachments each day in this manner, across the body; thus making a circuit of the body every four days. No solution; just the plain low electrical vibratory forces, to change the vibrations in the bodily forces.
  15. It would be attached for thirty minutes each day. In this manner it is adding to, now, and not merely equalizing, see? through these low electrical forces.
  16. The massage with the Peanut Oil should be done each evening, all along the cerebrospinal system, but especially on those particular areas and muscular tendons where there is the inclination for the static, - or for the falling away or giving away, or the atrophy which appears in portions of the extremities.
  17. Do that.
  18. Ready for questions.
  19. (Q) Should present treatments also be continued, or discontinued?
    (A) Be very well, as indicated, that these be continued. Only add these applications as we have outlined here, see?
  20. (Q) What produced or brought about this condition in the beginning?
    (A) A glandular condition, and then a high temperature.
  21. (Q) What results may be expected from following this treatment?
    (A) Either try it or leave it alone! The RESULTS are according to the faith!
  22. We are through for the present.
