2/13/39 Mr. [
1787]'s letter to EC:
..., Ky.
Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce;
A letter of your last reading received and also the medicine
from the druggist in Virginia Beach.
The bleeding which I wrote you about has receded to a very
small amount with scarcely any some days. However the knot
on my throat continues to enlarge. It is now about half the
size of an egg.
I met Dr. Gather [Gant Gaither, M.D.] of Hopkinsville
yesterday and I showed him the knot. He advised that I see
him again in two weeks. That he was sure that it would have
to be cut out.
My cough continues to improve and I do not wheeze or rattle
any at night.
I do not wish to have Dr. Gather to treat the knot on my
throat except on your advice.
For your information I might say that for a year previous to
my communication with you I took iodine constantly, under the
advice of a physician.
Please advise me at your earliest convenience.
Respectfully yours, [
1787]
P.S. If you think you can relieve me, I will come to
Virginia.
2/16/39 Remain home Friday morning for appointment ten-thirty
eleven-thirty EST. Otherwise advise.
2/17/39 See
1787-3.
