6/07/39 EC's letter to Mother, [
480]: "Thanks for yours of
the 1st - we just got in last evening from Duke - went to see
our baby [Edgar Evans Cayce] get his Diploma as an E.E. -
very nice but makes us feel we are growing old.
"Do hope you can soon get the feeding adjusted so [
1788] will
not spit up - know it bothers you - possibly more than it
does him but makes one feel things are not agreeing as they
should.
"The [
470]'s came in to see us last evening just after we got
in - they are fortunate - as [
470] says - if war doesn't
break out. They both look well. Oh yes - Dr. Thompson had
reading few weeks ago - just heard from Mrs. Thompson last
evening, doing very well now - will be a sure test for
reading in Kirksville, the Osteopathic school - have a
patient in the Macon sanitarium - doing nicely they say.
"Well well well. Mr. [
619] is getting married again - funny
that her name should be [
2578] - bet you have had some
experience about all this - haven't you?
"Will he live in Chicago or still in Detroit? Give him my
regards.
"Yes we will miss Dr. Hardwicke from the meeting this year
but he is doing a greater work am sure. The folks are all
well - Miss Gladys stayed here while Gertrude, H. L. and I
went to Duke - her brother was with her.
"Do send more pictures when you can of the young man - this
one here I have on my desk, and every one wishes to know if
that is a Cayce baby.
"Give our love to [
633] and [
1788]. Won't be long before you
will be seeing him graduate."
Love from all, EC
