7/30/41 Mr. [
257]'s letter:
I have attached a list of questions which I hope will be
answered along with his physical reading. As you know his
mother is a widow and earns a very limited salary and the
boy was left an orphan when he was about 4 years old.
However, I am sending you a check for $10.00 and hope it
will help the fund along...
Please go over the body of [
1796] thoroughly mentally and
physically. First tell us everything about his physical body
that is necessary to be corrected to bring the best mental
and spiritual development.
1: - What can be done to cure the constant ringing in the
ears which body has suffered since mastoid operation in 1937?
2: - Why does the body have a chronic sore throat so often?
3: - What can be done to correct this condition?
4: - What can be done to increase weight of the body and what
would the normal weight be.
5: - Advise best exercises to take.
6: - Outline best diet for body.
7: - How can body accomplish best work in school next year
and what courses are best for him to take to be successful in
his school work.
8: - The body is very interested in music but it takes a
great deal of time and interferes with regular school work.
How can both be accomplished satisfactorily. Please outline
best plan so body can proceed to work out this problem.
9: - How can body develop qualities of leadership.
10: - What is best manner for body to develop greater
spiritual understanding and the ways of God and man.
11: - What can body do to aid mother in the many duties that
she has to perform and to make her happy.

Dear Mr. [
1796]:
Hope you find your reading of interest, and the application
of the suggestions as beneficial as so many others tell us
such information has been for them. Will appreciate if you
will let us hear from you as to how you come along. Hoping
to have been of a service.

..., Conn.
Dear Mr. Cayce,
We have received the reading, and both Mother and I have gone
over it carefully. We feel that it undoubtedly points the
way to better health for myself. After exhausting every
doctor's efforts to help me your advice seems most helpful
and logical.
We plan to see the Dr. Dobbins that you specify in the
reading and although we haven't had much success in obtaining
the medicines here in ... we shall try in New York. As soon
as possible I shall arrange to meet Mr. [
257] and discuss the
reading with him as I am sure he wishes me to do so.
Both Mother and I wish to thank you from the bottom of our
hearts for doing this for me. Again our hopes for curing the
ringing in my ears have been stirred.
Sincerely, [

Dear [

Thanks for yours of the 11th - feel very sure you will find
Dr. Dobbins a very fine man and an excellent Dr., and that
with the application of the suggestions fully you will
receive real help.
Will be glad to hear from you from time to time, and hope you
get as much help from the suggestions as so many hundreds
tell us they have from theirs.
Hoping to have been of a service.

Wednesday
Dear Mr. Cayce,
I have been meaning to write you for several weeks concerning
my general condition, but my school work has interfered with
all of my correspondence. I am busier this year with the
various school activities than I have ever been in previous
years.
My health has been excellent for the past few months. It's
certainly better than it has been for years. I feel as if I
were getting more out of life. Enthusiasm seems to fairly
bubble out of me, and I seem to be able to cope with my
studies a bit more maturely this year.
Although I have been subjected to a few opportunities for
catching cold, I am happy to say that a strong resistance has
prevented any ailment.
I have been faithfully following your instructions, and at
present I am using the violet ray lamp. I am sure that this
treatment will do more for me than any other we have tried in
previous years.
Again I do want to thank you for your kindness in giving me
the reading.
11/07/41 EC's letter to [
1796]:
Dear [
1796]:
Thanks very much for yours of the 5th - do hope it will be
practical to meet you personally while we are in N.Y. this
time. We will be with Mrs. Robert Emmit, 1 Grace Church St.,
Rye, N.Y. possibly some evening or at some time you and your
Mother may be able to get in and see us even for few minutes.
Am glad indeed to know you are feeling so well. Keep the
good work up but all the Praise to HIM the Giver of all good
and perfect gifts.
Be sure and come to the meeting Friday night the 14th at the
Shelton Hotel.
With all good wishes [signed] Edgar Cayce
