NUTRITIONAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, INC., sends you the enclosed
report with the following understanding:
1. This report is furnished to the Nutritional Research
Associate member - no reports to the lay public.
2. These interpretations are based upon 45,000 cases with the
implications as derived from continued study of them. The
suggestions for materials to be used for correction are made
only from a minimum research in the past of 500 patients.
They are not "all" of the needed treatment, they are only
the researched suggestions. To them add what your experience
and therapy has shown to be required.
3. All reports are as found at the time of study. Re-checks
should not be made inside of 180 days and on low-function
patients, 360 days is better.
4. This is a researched report. Many men have joined in
this effort to give a better understanding of basic troubles.
To neglect or substitute products suggested would be to say,
in effect "I am not interested in research." This would tend
to lower the value of the service to the patient.
5. Neglect on the part of the Nutritional Associate in charge
would be apt to lower the value of this service to both
Associate and patient.

The thyrotropic center would be better at a bit higher level,
although its synergist protein-bound iodine has gained 1
mcgm. and is pretty sound at this time. The gonadotropic
center hormone has dropped 6 units in about 5 months time
but is still 2 units above normal.
The estrogen output appears to be high, and is high if the
menses began two or three days after gathering the sample.
However, the conversion is much sounder than it was, with
a slight amount of estrone and some estriol. Both of these
should be increased further, we feel.
The androgens have dropped to high normal level and this
shows that there is a much sounder homeostasis being
established.
The 17-ketosteroids are normal as are the corticoids and the
protein-bound iodine.
She obviously, therefore, can cut down on her nutritional
intake - gradually, of course, since this homeostasis, this
new homeostasis, that is, has not be present long enough to
be well-established. She may eliminate the Lipamine
capsules, after using up whatever supply she may now have on
hand. But continue at least some Soymone each meal and at
bedtime for estrogen support. She may gradually cut down
the Ketovite and Sidamine to maintainance levels. She will
probably need the Cenodin for some time since the thyrotropic
center hormone is still at low normal level.

RADIO-ACTIVE APPLIANCE: GOLD CHLORIDE
Dear Mr. Hugh Cayce:
I must apologize for not writing you sooner, but I believe,
that would have wasted your time and mine.
However, now I can give you definite good news. We can now
PROVE SCIENTIFICALLY that the radio-active appliance with
gold chloride solution definitely has a very powerful affect
on the basic body functions. It restores the normal body
endocrine functions and balance and reverts the endocrine
changes that cause degenerative diseases and aging. That
is a big statement but very true by accepted medical
standards.
Of course these standards and tests are not known or used by
all medical men, since new things move very slowly.
Mrs. Gallery's tests before treatment and after 4 months of
radioactive appliance treatment with gold chloride solution
show us the way to prove these points. I have Endocrine
Assays on Mrs. Gallery of Pittsburgh and the improvement is
very definite and unquestionable and can never be branded as
psychosomatic.
I am glad to report the above to you. I expected these
results because your father said so in his data on the
radio-active appliance with the use of gold chloride
solution.
I am going to Virginia for a brief vacation on Sept. 15, 1960
to Sept. 24, 1960. I am staying at the Inn in Williamsburg,
Virginia. I plan to come to Virginia Beach and give you the
data and explanation etc.
Let me know when you will be available, during my stay.
Sincerely yours,
Edward R. Lugar, M.D.
P.S. I would keep this good news under cover since one case
doesn't make a scientific fact; it only points the way by
which it can be proven.

9/15/60 Mrs. Gallery's letter to Mrs. Turner:
Dear Mrs. Turner,
Thank you so much for your kind letter, I was beginning to
think that you people down there had forsaken me.
Well, I am pregnant alright - what a pleasant surprize -
after 12 years of marriage. The only thing I am not to happy
about is the month - MARCH. My birthday is the 17th, my
mother and father were the same - all Pisces. Theirs were so
tragic and mine had been also.
However, if I am correct I believe Mr. Cayce's was also. I
just hope I give birth to someone as fine as Mr. Cayce. I
hope the child loves humanity and people just as much as
Mr. Cayce did.
God has been so very good to me this year - he led me to the
appliance, and I have been so very grateful that I have told
everybody who will listen. My success has quite good in this
respect and I am most pleased to be a channel for the
appliance and the Cayce foundation. Now God has seen fit
after all these years to make me a channel for another soul.
Now, what do you people have on childbirth, motherhood,
child raising (all according to Mr. Cayce) I want to raise
the child in accordance with Mr. Cayce's beliefs. Also, may
I continue to use the appliance, keep getting the osteopathic
treatments?
Please send me all available files pertaining to these
matters, as I am afraid I am a dope when it comes to this
matter.
Mr. Goeppel (the German engineer) says it will probably
be a genius - because all the atoms will be in their proper
places. He is so very funny. I guess Mr. Goeppel and Dr.
Lugar will have to be GOD fathers. They are responsible for
all of this.
Thank you so very much for checking your files on BLINDNESS -
I hope you do come up with something - Dr. Berry is so sweet.
Dr. Lugar said I couldn't be pregnant because two of the
female hormones were still too low, and Dr. Berry examined me
internally and said I wasn't pregnant - but thought I had a
fibroid tumor. I had to see two specialist and they said
"SOME TUMOR" you will have it in March. I have sure lost my
faith in the medical profession. I called them both that
nite and they both laughed and said even the best of them
make mistakes.
Please send me just as soon as possible everything on this
subject as I am most anxious to get on the right tract
according to the Cayce readings. Do you by any chance have
anything on NATURAL CHILDBIRTH?
GOD BLESS YOU ALL, and I hope sincerely my efforts as far as
the appliance are concerned have been helpful to you people.
I have sent Dr. Lugar two more patients for hormone tests and
they will be using the appliance also. So we will have some
more proof again.
Yours truly,

11/07/60 Dr. W. Lindsay Jacob's letter to EEC:
W. Lindsay Jacob, M.D.
360 Van Drive
Pittsburgh 37, Pennsylvania
Mr. Edgar E. Cayce, Research Director
A.R.E., Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.
"Thanks very much for your kind letter in answer to my
inquiry. I have delayed so long in answering because of
spending the last several weeks on vacation.
"I have studied some engineering myself while in the army.
I was a student at both V.P.I. and V.M.I. The war ended and
the program was discontinued after I had completed a little
better than 1/2 the requirements for a degree in E.E. After
that I continued on in Medicine which had been my first
choice.
"I spent part of my vacation in studying the Radio-active
device and can tell you something about it. Before I do,
however, a few prefacing remarks are essential. First,
although I'll use electrical and quote electrical terms -
unless specificially stated I am NOT referring to any known
electrical phenomenon, or for that matter, I'm not referring
to anything electrical. Secondly, the Magnetism I will be
referring to, unless otherwise stated, will be more what has
been termed "animal Magnetism" rather than a Standard
Magnetic field. Magnetism can be made part of the human
aura by most anyone. Its effects on the user and those in
the aura are generally not good.
"Already I'm beginning to sound like a real crack-pot instead
of a staid psychiatrist. But much work spent on training my
senses over the past six years leaves no doubt in my mind
that there is such a thing as the Sense of Magnetism and that
its effects are not good. Particularly on the recipient if
he deals with it or attends it.
"Anyhow, the Radio-active device does two things (without the
Solution Jar). First it acts as a general de-magnetizer.
That is, it drains off the excess magnetism in the system
and stores it in the carbon from whence it is gradually
dissipated by the action of sunlight or just time. In the
process, the gadget picks up some atmospheric energy, mostly
positive units, and feeds these back to the body along the
copper electrode primarily. The glass in the separator is
a positive substance and tends to act as a filter. It would
be quite a different device if resin were used instead. The
ice water and cold facilitates both the assimilation of
energy and the dissipation of the magnetism. In addition,
the cold vibrations stimulate the sense of cold which is
close to the sense of touch that must be activated for a
proper re-balance to take place.
"The steel bars, of course, resonate to the individual's
body vibration, the magnetism, and the chemical in the
Solution Jar. Although I haven't checked it out for sure,
I'll be willing to bet the carbon content specified has to
do with the magnetic properties of the steel. I believe this
is the type of steel used in transformers.
"Copper and Nickel are specified for the contacts because the
one (copper) is strongly positive and the nickel is negative.
Because of the glass probably two copper plates would work,
tho' the nickel makes for a better circuit.
"The over-all vibrational rate is low and the gadget tends to
pulsate when feeding back the energy.
"We made a few trial runs with the Wet Cell. I can't tell
much more than what you know. The vibration is quite high -
(9 on a scale of 10), - and it hits hard.
5/29/61 Lorraine Gallery's letter to Mrs. Turner:
Mrs. J. Gallery
5906 Callowhill St.
Pittsburgh 6, Pa.
Dear Mrs. Turner,
Well, I had my baby on April 8th - the hard way. Went to
hosp. on Thurs. April 6 - and was in and out of labor until
Sat. nite when they finally took baby by Ceasearean section.
Want you to know that I used the Radio-active appliance all
during pregnancy with Gold Solution up until the day I went
to the hospital. There was no ill effects and the baby was
perfectly healthy. Thought you might be interested in this
for one of your publications. Our little girl weighed 7 lb.
6 and was 21 inches long.
I am still on battery per Dr. Lugar and Dr. Jacob [W. Lindsay
Jacob, M.D.]. My head is still bad - and I wanted to switch
over to Wet Cell but they want me to keep on with battery for
at least three months, before doing so.
Now we are interested in the files on those the patients who
were on the Radio-Active battery and those who Mr. Cayce
recommended the low sinusoidal ray for. According to the
Abstract sheet on Neurasthenia those on Radio-active were
[
436], [
515], [
1381] and [
1711]. Low sinusoidal [
436] and
[
1381]. Could you please send us one of these cases where
the combination was used - that is the radio-active
appliance and the low sinusoidal ray. This would be case
[
1711] or [
1381].
Will send check for one of these as soon as it arrives. The
sinusoidal ray fits in with the research work we are doing
on Dr. Albert Abrams.
Probably within the next week you will get a membership from
a Miss Helen Tyler from Pittsburgh. Incidentally, Mrs.
Turner - Dr. Bond ordered 13 batteries from me to give to
patients to take home. I thought you might be interested in
this information.
The information I gave you above on my use of the battery
during prgnacy may be used for publication if you wish. Some
one else might be using the battery and worried about ill
effects to baby - but this is not so and publishing this -
might either help some other doctors or patients using it.
Dr. Lugar is taking another hormone test on me again in
3 months to see if hormones are reading as they were before
pregnancy.
Send me the files (they porbably will have to be typed up
specially) but we will pay for same.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Garrison:
Neither the ARE nor myself makes up any of the electrical
devices known as the Radio Active and Wet Cell Appliances.
Neither do we have any list on hand of suppliers of the
appropriate materials.
Some members of the ARE have made up these devices for
experimental purposes. I am returning your telegram to the
ARE with the request that they check the addresses of one or
two members who have made up some recently, and forward these
members names to you. Perhaps they have found other sources
of supply. Sorry can be of more help.
We would appreciate hearing from you if you are able to
locate any ready supply of the necessary materials and also
reports of any results you may obtain from the use of these
devices.
Sincerely,
Edgar E. Cayce
9/22/62 EEC's letter to GDT:
Gladys:
I sent Garrison the original of this letter. Would
appreciate you sending him names of any members we have
that have made up the radio active appliance recently.
Possibly we should write them and ask for a list of the
companies where they obtained carbon, steel, charcoal etc.
Possibly we could furnish this information as a service to
members without running afoul of the law; maybe we should
take up matter at next Exec Comm meeting. Anyway we can
send Garrison names of members who have made up device
recently, and we can request from them also their source
of supply. By the time we hear from them we will have had
an EXEC COMM meeting and can decide on policy of what
information to furnish to whom.

Edgar Evans Cayce

Dear Edgar:
Enclosed you will find a statement by a patient of ours who
has multiple sclerosis and who also is an engineer and who
has thought something about the function and nature of the
wet cell appliance. Also, I have enclosed a commentary on
Mr. Gadoie's statement from Dr. Ken Starz who has had
significant experience and who has given considerable thought
to this field of therapy.
I am very much interested in working up a commentary that I
can include in our researches with the wet cell that will be
valid from the standpoint of the mind of the electronics
engineer because I think that this department of engineering
comes closer to dealing with the effects of the wet cell than
any other that we currently have available.
Thus, I would like to have you - and I have asked two or
three others - add further commentary to these enclosures and
make suggestions and give criticisms and add data as
comprehensively as you are able to do at the present time.
The sooner the better, of course, but I do want considered
thought because I do want to build from this point as far as
our total research picture is concerned.
If I could have your material back within a two-week period,
I would greatly appreciate it. If there are any questions
that are of paramount importance dealing with this, please
call me collect at the Clinic from Tuesday through Friday
afternoons 1:00-5:00 pm, Mountain Standard Time. Thanking
you in advance, I am

2/23/72 Edgar Evans Cayce's letter to Dr. McGarey:
Dear Bill, [Dr. Wm. A. McGarey]
Your letter of Feb. 18 arrived yesterday; so, am trying to
reply promptly. Actually I don't believe we are ready yet to
work up much of a commentary to go with appliances - believe
should experiment further along some of lines suggested and
then comment based on the results of the experiments (if they
are conclusive enough for comment).
I read Gadoie's paper and Starz's comments on it; both were
good and both showed careful thought and reasoning. My
comments on them follows:-
Am sure you have the booklet "Two Electrical Appliances
Described in the Edgar Cayce Readings" which I wrote back in
1965. I don't know anymore about these devices now than I
did then which isn't much; but I reviewed the booklet before
writing this and it did give me some thoughts.
1. Both of the appliances the Wet Cell and the Radio Active
(or Impedance Device) were suggested for cases dealing with
the nerves, nervous system, tension and incoordination far
more than anything else.
2. Not only was copper wire suggested as a loop for solution
jar but nickel and hollow lead too.
3. Though gold chloride was used often as a solution there
were other solutions suggested also for various ailments, for
example silver (don't remember whether it was silver chloride
or silver nitrate) tincture of iron, tincture of iodine, and
camphor - there may have been others.
4. The sulphuric acid and water furnish an electrolyte (why
the copper copper sulphate, zinc and sometimes carbon was
added I don't know) thru which an electric current can flow
because nickel and copper are in different positions in the
electromotive series and when these two are immersed in an
electrolyte an electromotive force or voltage is developed
between them. This d.c. potential is very small - less than
1 to 1 1/2 volts. Presumably if leads from these two
terminals are connected to a body a small d.c. current will
flow.
5. How the solutions such as gold chloride etc. can have any
effect I do not know. The quote from a reading says:-
"we find that any of such solutions may be given to the body,
as we have indicated, through this manner; causing the
activity of same without it passing through the system
itself, for it may be directed to various organs of the
system that are in need of such elements as to the glands in
any portion of the system that receive impulse from the
cerebrospinal system, or from the sympathetic or the
vegetative system or from any of the ganglia of the lymph or
emunctory circulation that forms itself in portions of the
body."
You might consider this in connection with quote from April
15, 1962 issue of the N.Y. State Journal of Medicine article
entitled, "The Direct Current Control System - A Link Between
Environment and Organism" "The d.c. potentials measured on
the surface of living organisms appear to be the result of
d.c. flow within the central nervous system. This direct
current appears to be a phenomenon of nerve fiber in general
and is organized into a complex system which is capable of
transmitting information and effecting control. Sensory
inputs to the system are identified as trauma and external
electromagnetic force fields. The system influences and may
exert control over growth processes. It determines the basic
level of irritability of the neurons themselves and may
possibly be related to various aspects of psychologic
functioning. This has indicated to us that any comprehensive
formulation of psychiatric disorders should take into account
these new parameters involving direct current neural
mechanisms and their interaction with environmental physical
factors."
Of course you are familiar with phenomena of minds eased by
electric sleep in which electrodes are attached to a person's
head and a barely perceptible electric current switched on
which induces sleep.
6. I think some experiments that might be made with these
appliances should include:-
a. A detailed study of the electric field patterns of the
body with and without the device attached to the body.
b. Electroencephalograms and electrocardiographs of a person
with and without the appliance attached - observe wave shapes
and compare patterns.
c. Large scale group experiments for statistical purposes
some with appliance on and knowing it was on; some without
appliance on and thinking it was attached, and some with
appliance on and thinking it was not - try to separate
physiological and psychological effects.
To comment more specifically on Gadoie's paper and Starz's
comments on it:-
I don't know how the ionic solution of an element (for
example gold chloride) can effect a d.c. current. According
to atomic theory all electrons are the same as are all
protons and neutrons no matter what element they come from;
it is the various combinations of these atomic particles that
form the different elements. An ion on the other hand is
defined as an atom or group of atoms that has acquired a
positive or negative charge as a result of having lost or
gained one or more electrons. Most theory dealing with ionic
solutions simply is concerned with the charge of the ion not
whether it is an ion of gold or copper or what though
certainly gold would show up different from copper in
spectrogram. There seems to be no theory to account for
how a gold ion could modulate a d.c. current differently from
a silver ion though according to Edgar Cayce they do somehow
- really no theory to account for any ion modulating a d.c.
current, by being in circuit as in solution jar.
I have heard of theory of "odic" force but somehow believe
that any such energy must be related somehow to the forms
of energy we are familiar with (don't know how or even if).
As far as sensitives being able to detect such force how
do you know they are not "seeing" an electromagnetic or
electrostatic field? We can't see radio waves but if we were
sensitive to them somehow am sure we would be overwhelmed by
the vast amount of radio and TV energy we are pouring out of
our many stations. Of course there may be some odic or other
energy we are not familiar with and this may be what
appliances deal with but believe we need to do more
experiments with these devices and see if we can measure
their effects on body or body energies we are familiar with
and then derive their source of energy.
Maurice Giltz and Betty are coming down for short visit end
of Feb. and will make copy of Gadoie's and Starz's papers and
ask Maurice if he will comment on them. As a zoology teacher
he is familiar with nerves, neurons etc. and might make some
comment that would be helpful. Meanwhile I will return all
material with my own comments which am afraid are not very
helpful except suggesting more experiments.
Best of luck. Would surely like to see any commentary you
work up and hear of any experiments results.
Tell all hello and hug Gail for me.

9/14/73 Tom Johnson's report on Ipsab research:
A SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS OF A DOUBLE-BLIND STUDY OF IPSAB
BACKGROUND: In the spring of 1972, arrangements were made
with a practicing dentist in McLean, Virginia for a double-
blind study of Ipsab. The dentist was supplied with
approximately 100 bottles of real Ipsab and the same quantity
of a solution identical in color and taste but without the
active indgredients. The bottles were identical except for
the lot control number on the label.
The dentist, without knowing which bottle contained the real
Ipsab, gave
2-3 bottles having the same lot number to a
patient suffering from periodontal disease. Each patient was
given the conventional treatment for periodontal disease
including scaling, surgery when necessary, bite correction
or splinting of mobile teeth.
A total of 39 patients were observed, 18 patients having used
lot 20, and 21 having used lot 21, which was the real Ipsab.
The dentist divided the results into 5 categories: None,
Slight, Moderate, Good, and Very Good to Excellent.
RESULTS:
1. The results were in favor of the real Ipsab as follows:
5 of the 6 patients who showed improvement definitely
superior to what the dentist expected from conventional local
treatment used the real Ipsab, while 5 of the 9 patients who
failed to receive any benefit (no results) used the placebo
Ipsab. The number of patients that were observed as having
slight, moderate, or good results were identical for both
the placebo and the real Ipsab.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. The dentist stated that all observations were necessarily
subjective and impossible to rate with great accuracy, as
much variation could result from differences in patient
effort and ability. However, this factor would tend to be
negated or balanced out over the entire sample.
2. A preliminary statistical analysis of the results
indicates that the probability of the observations occuring
by chances are about 1 in 7. Thus the chances of error is
about 14%, and the results are therefore significant at that
level.
3. Further in-vitrio studies will be made to confirm the
ability of Ipsab to kill the bacteria that are known to be
associated with periodontal disease.

Mr. Edgar Evans Cayce
Research Consultant
Association for Research and Enlightenment
P.O. Box 595
Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am writing to you in the hope of obtaining additional
technical information on both the wet cell appliance and the
impedance device, both of which I am currently using. Dr.
Herbert Puryear, who recently lectured to local A.R.E.
members, suggested that you possibly could provide answers
to certain questions I have. They are as follows:
1. What coil material should be used in the solution jar
when employing tincture of iron with either appliance?
2. Is there a composite reference list of coil materials to
be used in association with all of the various solutions
Edgar Cayce suggested for use with this appliances? For
example, I believe a copper coil is specified to be used with
the gold chloride and silver nitrate solutions. However,
what coil metals are best suited for other solutions such as
spirits of camphor, tincture of iodine, atomidine, etc.
Atomidine, particularly, am I interested in. I have used
both a copper and stainless steel coil with this material,
and with both types of metal encounter an almost
instantaneous massive precipitation of iodine crystals.
Although the precipitate readily dissolves when the coil is
removed, from the odor and color manifest, it seemingly is
as molecular, rather than nascent, iodine.
3. Would it prove to possible advantage to gold plate and
silver plate coils that are to be used with gold and silver
solutions respectively? Since one experiences a steady
depletion of gold and silver by galvanic displacement from
their respective solutions, it would seem that a thin flash
electroplate (1/10 of a mil) of gold or silver electroplated
on the coil would prevent immersion plating from occurring.
Thus, the solutions could possibly last indefinitely instead
of the present twenty or so applications. Also, it seems
unlikely that the properties of the current should be
altered since one is simply substituting a permanent
electroplate for the reoccurring precipitated immersion
plates which steadily deplete the precious metals from
solution. It is surprisingly inexpensive to have the small
coils electroplated. About $3.50 per coil would seemingly
be a good estimate based on local rates for gold and silver
plating.
4. What voltage reading should one obtain with a freshly
prepared wet cell battery using either a single or double
charge of material? Since one cannot feel the current
flowing, the integrity of the circuit is always a source of
concern to me. I would like to be able to determine the
voltage across the attachment plates to make certain I am
receiving the proper electromotive force. Also, I wonder if,
rather than arbitrarily discarding the battery materials at
the end of ons month, that one wouldn't be better off by
using a minimum voltage output as a criterion for recharge.
5. How critical is the placement of the wet cell leads, and
the impedance device itself, in the sunshine? If critical,
what is a suitable length of time to expose them to, say, an
average radiation temperature of 80 degrees F.
6. In chilling the impedance device, Edgar Cayce said in one
reading that it was best to use commercially prepared ice
rather than the home-made variety. Do you know if this
variable has a significant influence on benefits involved?
7. Is there any method at all to check the integrity of the
impedance device? It seemingly generates no measurable
voltage or current or even any wave patterns that can be
observed on a sensitive oscilloscope.
8. Do you feel that the construction of the impedance device
is especially complex and to be performed only by skilled
technicians? I read your most excellent paper on the
appliances and the construction of them superficially seems
quite straightforward. I am a novice welder and craftsman
and would like to construct several of these appliances for
members of my family. However, since the price of the units
is seemingly rather out of proportion to the expense of the
components involved, I was thinking these high rates could be
associated with some complicated aspect of construction not
readily apparent, thus elevating the prices so markedly.
I would be most appreciative of your answering the above
questions and of any other comments or suggestions you could
offer relative to the operation of the appliances.

8/27/74 EEC's letter to George Dietzel Jr.:
Mr. George W. Dietzel Jr.

Dear Mr. Dietzel:
Will try to answer your questions in the order you propounded
them.
1. Usually nickel wire or hollow lead wire was suggested for
the solution jar; however, I see no objection to using silver
plated or gold plated wire.
2. It is true that different readings suggested different
materials for the solution jar coils but a general reading
on the construction of the devices did not specify any
particular type metal for the various solutions. I believe
nickel wire was suggested as well as hollow lead wire since
they are generally corrosive resistant; probably copper or
silver or gold wire would be equally suitable; I don't
remember any silver plated wires or gold plated wires ever
being suggested, but I see no reason not to use them.
3. Probably the answers to 1. and 2 above answer this also.
Both gold and silver conduct electricity and are corrosive
resistant and would make good (though expensive) wires for
solution jars.
4. The voltage reading of a wet cell depends upon the
difference of the copper and nickel rods in the electromotive
series; this is best measured by a vacuum tube voltmeter and
is approximately 1/2 volt plus or minus. Most of the
readings suggested discarding the electrolyte after one month
and putting in a fresh charge (the nickel and copper rods
were to be sandpapered or cleaned at this time also).
5. I don't know but don't believe this is critical. I think
an hour or so exposure to direct sunlight is sufficient,
longer would not hurt.
6. I don't know the answer to this, but in the general
readings the temperature appears to be more the decisive
factor than the ice; believe any ice would be o.k.
7. Since the impedance device is a capacitor and resistor in
parallel I suppose the only way to check would be to measure
the resistance and capacitance against an average standard;
however, if constructed properly it should function properly
as long as sealed against moisture and shorting of terminals.
8. The construction doesn't seem complex and anyone should
be able to construct one (that is why wrote pamphlet).
Hope the above answers your questions.
Sincerely,
Edgar E. Cayce
