..., N.C.
My dear Mr. Cayce,
I have neglected writing you as I have been out of town more
than usual lately.
I went to see Dr. Tucker as you suggested and have had five
treatments. My back is much better and my digestion is
better - though the area round the gall bladder is still
quite sensitive.
You asked for a history of my case to date.
I had three very severe gall bladder attacks within two weeks
the spring of 1933 and the first of May had the operation. I
was badly jaundiced and so had to wait several days in the
hospital before they could operate.
They took out a couple of hands full of stones and I had a
drain tube in for seventeen days. Were unable to take out
the gall bladder because it was imbedded in the liver. Since
then I have had several digestive upsets, which I have been
afraid were caused by the gall bladder - I have also had some
stiffness in the joints - knees and elbows, though not very
serious or painful - but have wondered if that too were not
caused by the gall bladder.
I am carrying out your instructions as carefully as I can,
but I have to live in hotels and restaurants and it is often
pretty difficult to get the right things to eat. I think the
numbness in my hands is better - Did you mean that you did
not want me to take orange or grape fruit at all?
I am so grateful for your help and am sure I am better
Yours most sincerely, [

Mrs. [

New York City
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I resigned my position with ... at the close of the school
year as I found this last year very taxing. I was with the
Extinsism [Extension?] Division which meant driving most of
the time, and Dr. Tucker thought that was one of the causes
of my back trouble.
I have been in New York since the first of June and am
studying to prepare for a different kind of work that will
not be as strenuous.
Dr. Tucker helped me very much. I think the gall bladder
condition is much better - but I am having a lot of trouble
with my left shoulder & pain down the back muscle also some
pain in my chest. Mrs. [
1663] sent me the address of Dr.
Dobbins, who she says works with you, but I have decided I
would rather have another reading and know what the trouble
is. You might not treat this in the same way.
I could have the reading any of the first four days of the
week, anytime convenient for you.
Mrs. [
1663] wrote so enthusiastically of the Congress - wish
I might have attended. Awaiting your reply, I am
Most gratefully, [

8/17/39 Questions: "Do you find the gall bladder in better
condition than it was last February? Is there any indication
of an anemic condition? Do you think it is arthritis in my
shoulder? Do you wish me to continue the same diet?"
