2/19/39 Mrs. [
1770]'s letter: "Mr. [
1821] writes, 'I was a
bit disappointed that nothing was said about my present work
or that selling was one outlet for my talent or latent
ability. I thought of all my questions he'd surely answer
that one but he did not.' Mr. [
1821] sent the reading to me
and I can see that he feels deeply about that particular
answer to question #1 [1821-1, Par. 46-A], or to questions
about his present work which may not have been answered. He
has worked diligently for the past two years and has been
unable to make any headway. He owes for debts which piled up
during the past 2 years and I know that at last he is
conscientiously trying to earn enough to pay back those
obligations but it is difficult for him to earn enough to
keep body and soul fed and housed. At the moment he owes a
large deficit to the lady from whom he has rented a room -
during the past 2 years. That is a constant worry to him for
he cannot understand why, when he works so earnestly and
conscientiously, he receives so little in return. He has no
one to turn to for financial aid and he shouldn't seek that,
for it has been one of his weaknesses in the past. If you
can assist him in any way by directing him to contacts which
will assist him to help himself, I know that he will be most
grateful. He is an entity who is making 'soul growth' in
this incarnation and if we can help and not weaken him, I
know our endeavors in that direction will bear fruit...
There is so much which is revealing in the reading, if one
has eyes to see, and on my visit to... I will try to
interpret it for him. In the meantime I know he will
appreciate meeting your friend [
256] who is connected with
the ... School and any other contacts which will assist him
to aid himself financially. He's almost starved at times,
during the last few months."
2/24/39 Mrs. [
1770]'s letter: "Hugh Lynn went over Mr.
[
1821]'s reading with him and I know that wonderful helpful
suggestions are in it for him. Already his outlook on life
is changed and his spirit raised to a higher degree."
