2/04/39 [
1823]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
Thank you for your prompt reply of Feb 2nd. I immediately
telephoned your son Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce and I have just had
a most delightful talk with him. He has been most helpful
preparing the enclosed questions and I look forward with
much pleasure to the Reading as I know it will give me the
knowledge as to where and how to spend my energies so as to
get the best results, mentally, financially & spiritually for
myself and the others for whom I am working. I am enclosing
a check of $5.00 to be placed to my credit, the balance
I expect to pay in March, May & July. I trust that is
satisfactory; needless to say if I am able to cancel
this obligation sooner I shall be only to happy to do so.
Very sincerely, [
1823]
Note: If work is suggested other than handling bookings for
artists get specific directions for getting started in the
work suggested.
AM I at present engaged in the right work?
If I am to continue in this field advise me as to what type
of artists I should work with?
ARE there any special individuals or groups that I should
seek contact with?
Would it be wise for me to work with special individuals or
groups, or act as general clearing bureau for artists.
Should I undertake expansion of my booking bureau by raising
capital, if so through what associations?
If work is suggested other than that which I am now doing
(the representation of various artists) please get specific
character for undertaking this suggested work.
In what section of the country, give definite place if
advisable, should I live for the greatest opportunities
for development.
Would it be wise for me to associate my self with the new
group called "Functions."
WHAT are my greatest obstacles in this life, analyze and give
me directions for meeting them.
Where have I been associated with my present daughter before
- what are the urges and what may I do for her mental and
spiritual development in this life.
REPORTS
2/13/40 HLC's letter to [
1823]:
Mrs. [
1823] New York City
Dear Mrs. [
1823]
In going over our files I note that we have not had a
statement from you regarding your Life Reading, which was
given by my father on February 18, 1939. I remember that
in talking with you about it you indicated several points in
which it was accurate in analyzing your talents, abilities
and characteristics. I should appreciate very much your
letting us have a letter giving the details as to just how
this reading checked, as you know yourself, and if you have
been able to follow any of the suggestions contained in it to
an advantage.
Knowing your interest in all psychic subjects, I am confident
that you will be glad to learn of our Expansion Program which
is going to make possible the indexing of all the readings
which are now in our files. This will mean a scientific and
businesslike presentation of my father's efforts. I believe
that every individual whose Readings are a part of our files,
and who recognizes the importance of this as a contribution
to the whole field of psychic research, will want to have a
part - however small - in the development of this program. I
feel that we have your interest and cooperation.
Please feel free to let me have any questions you may have
from time to time regarding the clarifying of any passage of
your Reading. I shall be only too glad to write you about
it.
I trust that we may see you in New York in the early spring.
Sincerely, Hugh Lynn Cayce, Manager [hlc:gd]
A routine mailing in 1943 was returned marked REMOVED.
3/08/76 Mrs. [
1823] telephoned GD requesting, and was
subsequently sent, a copy of her Life Reading. She now lives
in California and has been thinking of attending one of the
A.R.E. Conferences at Asilomar, but has not yet done so.
