2/21/39 Daughter-in-law Mrs. [
1602]'s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce -
You were very good to give us the Reading, when you did.
Past Dec 12, and it WAS a help!
Mrs. [
1824] was really 9/10ths on the other side at the time.
Hyperstatic pneumonia & sepsis had set in & were doing their
best to separate her from the physical body but - all of a
sudden, life came back. The pneumonia cleared - the kidneys
began to function & the temperature gradually went to normal
(from 105 degrees). As a result, she is still with the
physical body & is conscious for quite some time at a
stretch. We feel sure the "return" is only temporary & for
some reason that we do not understand. In the mean while we
just stand by, knowing the Higher Will is in complete charge
& all is as it should be.
Sorry you are not to be in N.Y. this week as we had hoped -
guess we'll have to go to Virginia Beach if we expect to see
you!! Am hoping, in March, [
1564] will take a little time
off and make the trip.
We either see - or talk with - High Lynn frequently - tho
he is certainly a busy boy! Between you & me, he is doing a
fine job here - giving of himself every minute - for some one
- and lending himself wherever necessary.
We were sorry to see the program [Mysteries of the Mind] go
off the air - but feel sure, if it is intended to resume,
it will be under more satisfactory condition for the
message that is there to be given to the awakening minds.
We KNOW you are all well and busy! These are busy times &
critical ones for so many, that any blessings we have, we are
grateful for - and one - not the least - is knowing you.
Very good wish to you & Mrs. Cayce - and Miss Davis. So
MANY, many thanks for all YOU have done for us - & the
THOUSANDS of others!
Sincerely - [
1602]
3/01/39 EC's ltr. to [
1602]:
Dear Mrs. [
1602]
Thank you for yours of the 27th - it is most interesting what
you tell me about Mrs. [
1824] - you know I would not wish
to make an assertion that was not true, but have observed
several times, where such information came through as was
given at the time we tried for Mrs. [
1824] that immediately
there was a rallying period, I know it imports something,
yet, am afraid I do not fully understand it but it is most
interesting - and most worthwhile if we would only get its
full significants. We do need to study this phase of the
phenomena more am sure.
Possibly will get to N.Y. next month for a day or so - any
way would be nice to see you all at Virginia Beach.
Don't hear much from Hugh Lynn - but know he is quite busy
glad some of you look after him a bit - but he is a pretty
good boy we think of course.
Yes sir - we just don't have enough days in the week - or
haven't gotten my self up to three or four readings per day -
but can't fill the requests as fast as they wish - and still
have times when don't know which one to take.
Thanking you again for your letter and with love and regards
to all from all here
Sincerely, [signed] Edgar Cayce
GD's note: I understand that Mrs. [
1824] did pass on not
long after the reading was given.
