7/23/43 Letter (see under
1837-1 Reports) submitted these
questions for a Ck. Physical Reading:
Health Reading for [
1837]
..., Conn.
Born at Islesboro, Maine, Feb. 29, 1876
"1. Having a fear of deafness, is there any preventive
treatment? Should the ears be washed out occasionally to
remove hardened wax?
2. What is the significance of a tender spot in the left part
of abdomen, which I have noticed by touch for many years?
3. Is the Atomidine bought three years ago, all right to use
now if you so prescribe? Or does it deteriorate?
4. With care, should my body serve me ten years more?
"All suggestions welcome." [See interim correspondence under
1837-1 Reports.]
2/22/44 (8 a.m.) [
1837]'s letter to EC:
Apartments F,
..., Fla.
My dear Mr. Cayce;-
"Have just recalled that you set the date of February 28th
for my health reading. If that date stands, I should like to
know the hour, so I can tune in. Please note on the enclosed
card, and I will send check by return mail. The reading will
be my birthday present to myself, February 29th, Leap Year.
My friend, Margaret Brewster, may write to you for a reading.
For your sake, I hope you are not over-taxed. You are too
rare to wear yourself out in service to others...
"Tuesday, February twenty-second - '44 - P.S. My check book
is used and I forgot to get another Saturday, or I would send
check now."
Sincerely, [
1837]
3/17/44 Letter from EC to Mrs. [
1837]: "Due to illness I
have been unable to give any readings for several weeks.
Consequently my calendar is completely filled almost for the
entire year, due to the fact that I have had to find a space
for those appointments I have missed.
"Your Physical Reading we are setting for Wednesday morning,
November 8th between 10:30 and 11:30 EWT. This may be too
far away to be of use to you. If it is satisfactory, please
let us hear from you about two weeks before that date, giving
the exact address at which you will be during the hour set,
also the questions you wish to have asked concerning your
condition at that time.
"Regretting the delay but hoping we may be of service, I
am..."
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
8/30/44 Letter from [
1837] to EC: "Since I feel no urgent
need for my reading, I am glad to give my time (Nov. 8) to
[...], whose family are very eager to know how to direct his
activities. He is a spiritually-minded young man, hampered
all his life by epileptic spasms, which have lessened very
much since I interested him in Inner Vision. Please mark me
down for April 24th, before which date, I will communicate
with you again..."
12/13/49 She asked that her name be kept on N.Y. lecture list
to be notified of A.R.E. speakers.
7/52 She ordered EC publications.
