4/17/41 [
1844]'s letter to EC:
"Please except my apologies for not writing sooner, as I have
no excuse but laxness to offer.
"Since my last reading, my eye has improved greatly. In
fact, it has improved to such an extent that I can see out of
it and have quite some control over it.
"I would like a Check-up reading to see if there is something
else that can be done to it to restore more vision to it.
"These are some of the questions I would like answered:
1. Is there any hope of ever being able to see enough out of
that eye that the army would accept me?
2. Is the work I do hindering the cure of my eyesight?
3. Would my eyesight improve if I took an outdoor job?
By that, I mean change my surroundings.
4. Should I again take up the osteopathic treatments from
Dr. Dobbins?
5. Should I visit Dr. Erlanger for the electric treatments.
6. Should I go on any diet?
7. Is there anything worldly that I can do that will enable
me to see more?
"Thanking you for the aid that you have given me already, and
in the future.
"Please let me know when I might have this reading."
Your servant, [

4/21/41 EC's letter to [
1844]:
"I have yours of the 18th. With the appointments we have,
we could not get the Check reading in this week. But we will
be at Mr. Kahn's home next week and can make it for you on
the afternoon of the 30th, 3:30 to 4:30. Can't you be there
at that time? I would like very much to meet you personally,
and for you to see and hear just how the information is
given... Also, we are to have a meeting Tuesday evening at
the Shelton Hotel, at 8 P.M. Can you come to that meeting?
I would like to have you and any of your friends that you
would like to bring with you..."
