This Psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of November, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1861], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1861]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, the general physical conditions of the body are much on the improve. The resistances are gradually being builded for better conditions through the body. The specific disturbances with the eyes, while improved, are not, of course, near to normal as yet; but considerable improvements are constantly going on, even in this direction, as the body finds in itself.
4. Occasionally there should be kept the mechanical application for the distribution of the general energies throughout the body, to keep down the tendencies that arise at times from acidity through the system. Within self, then, apply the meditative abilities of the body. As it raises the kundaline forces and activities of the spirit of expansion in body, SEE it dilate the optic forces; not to excess, but let it be as this: "all that I deserve, that I need, to be the better channel for the manifestation of His love and power in the earth just now." And know that as ye ask in His name, believing, that ye have already.
5. Do this, and occasionally - once a month, once in six weeks - have the mechanical (osteopathic) distribution of energies through the body.
6. These will keep the body as an example (as it is) to all who know and meet the body - physical, mental, spiritual.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Should I continue oil massage?
   (A) It's fattening you up - I'd keep it up.
9. (Q) Should I continue vitamins?
   (A) They are good. Keep them up.
10. (Q) Violet Ray?
    (A) This occasionally, not too often - especially if there is the using of the abilities of the body in meditation. This we would put farther and farther off, as the body raises the vibrations of itself. The Violet Ray interferes with the ability of this, in the mental-spiritual aspect. Physically it sets the body in attune. So, this will depend upon whether the body is to rely upon the mechanical or the spiritual forces to enliven the body, as to its particular use. Once in six weeks, once in two months would be sufficient - after the body finds itself able to control itself through these periods of meditation and direction of the energies so raised. If this causes anxiety in the body, leave it off and have a little more of the Violet Ray.
11. (Q) What should be the polarity of this body as it sleeps?
    (A) Either facing east or facing south.
12. (Q) As the vision itself has been improving very little lately, am I failing in my application of anything?
    (A) Not failing in the application. As just indicated, know it is reaching in self the exercise and the dependence upon the food, the assurance, in the manner of life the individual entity lives. So long as there are doubts, so long there is retardment. As the body applies that it would preach, rather by practice than by precept, there is gradually the ability within self to improve or direct any portion of the body towards manifesting spiritual powers in itself.
    As we find, it is in the optic centers that all of those centers arise from the sensory system itself. These are as the awarenesses of spirit, of mind, of sense or body-reactions. As these are the more spiritualized, the more applicable are the truths of the spirit in the individual mind, you see.
13. (Q) Is it indicated when ... College for Girls will reopen?
    (A) In the Fall of '44.
14. (Q) Will I teach there again?
    (A) Do you wish to? Then prepare for it, if you do.
