Know that the spirit of truth lies within, - not that it may
descend from without or even from heaven. It's self! For,
Lo, it lieth within, and must - by the love, the application,
the desire, the harmony - be aroused to that attunement, "I
will abide with thee always!" Know that this means thy own
self! For He hath not left thee comfortless, but the spirit
of truth abides ever with thee.
Before that we find the entity was in the land now called
the Egyptian, during the periods when there were those
preparations for individuals as they put away carnal
thoughts, carnal activities, which had brought into the
experience those worldly things that were shown the more
in the physiognomy of the individual.
There we find the entity was among the children of the sons
of Belial who came from the Atlantean land; offering self
as a channel, as an ensample whereby those things that were
evilspoken of by the children of men might become hallowed
and blessed in the experiences Of those who tempered the mind
and body to the spiritual laws that abide with men.
And through the Temple of Sacrifice we find the entity was
active, and again in the Temple Beautiful; thus making for a
channel - combined with the Priest - through which there came
one who was to be the successor of the Priest; yet that
offspring partook of those things which had tempted the
entity in its experience in the Atlantean land.
Hence in the present much sacrifice at times may be required,
yet there may come that answer from within, by the study and
the application of the seeds of the spirit, in such measures
and manners that His grace and mercy will be sufficient to
make that at-onement with the Creative Forces - through the
promises that are in Him, "If ye walk with me I will abide
with thee."
The name then was Steb-Hln.
As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and
that to which it may attain, and how:
Study to show forth thyself approved unto that thou hast set
as thy ideal. And know that the ideal must be of spiritual
import. For only good and truth and love are eternal.
And as ye apply thyself - either in thy activities by
bringing greater harmonies in the experiences of those ye
meet day by day, or in thy writings - or in thy
interpretation of music, or efforts in writing - sow the
seeds of love, of faith, of hope, of brotherly kindness, of
patience. For this is the whole way whereby ye, a well as
others, become aware of your relationships with the Creative
Forces.
And thus ye may make this experience a helpful one.
Sow the seed of the spirit; leave the results with thy God.
We are through for the present.
