(Q) Regarding my relationship for the past three years with
[
1821] of Boston: What have been our relationships in the
past, and what are the urges brought forth in the present?
(A) This as we find is a sympathetic nature of relationship
that arises from a portion of the sojourn through the
activities in the Palestine land, when great help was given
to that entity known now as [
1821], - by saving him from
persecutions in that particular period.
Hence, as has been and is the experience in the present,
there is the desire to save him from self, as it were, and
from the activities that to the entity (this entity) HINDER
him from making the better application or use of his
abilities or experiences.
These associations SHOULD be, would be better continued than
eliminated.
(Q) Is there a karmic debt I owe him? If so, what is it and
how may I best discharge it?
(A) Rather, if it were classed as a karmic debt, he owes
this entity the debt! The entity FEELS that impression, that
activity, from the desire to shield or help.
(Q) What should be my relationship in the future with this
man? Is it for our mutual development for us to be closely
associated, or should I try to put him out of my life
entirely?
(A) As we have just indicated, the CLOSER the association is
the nearer there is the ability of the entity to SAVE the
influences or forces that have been and are a part of him for
development.
(Q) Please give me any advice that will help me to
understand and to meet the problem which confronts me
concerning my relationship with this man.
(A) As just indicated. As the entity not only shielded him
in that particular experience, but also brought closer
relationships through the experiences in the Egyptian land, -
keep these. They may grow, they may blossom in the present
experience to be worth while for each, - not only in the
emotion of the whole physical and mental being, but in the
spiritual also.
(Q) Would the friendly or marital relationships be best?
(A) The friendly relationships should be the better until
there are greater DETERMINING factors in the MIND and the
activities of [
1821]!
(Q) Would marital relationships develop? as that is what I
desire?
(A) This would be well, provided - as we have indicated -
that there is the DETERMINING on his part, or the closing of
other activities or associations. Would be well!
(Q) Please give me any advice to make my life a full, well
rounded, happy and useful existence.
(A) As has been indicated to the entity, this the entity may
accomplish, this the entity may do in the giving of
encouraging, hopeful, optimistic experiences, as well as
advice and counsel to those the entity meets day by day.
This may sound very little, but in its application it grows
and grows - as it is applied or adhered to.
(Q) How can I help [
1821] to come to a decision?
(A) This must be within his own self. As to how HE might, -
this may be concluded from that which has been indicated as
to that necessary in his own life!
(Q) In what direction do my abilities lie, and how should I
go about to use them?
(A) As has just been indicated, - in either the music, the
song, the poetry, or even art itself; and the applying of
these only in the encouraging of others.
A great future lies before the entity AS it applies those
things which have been indicated here. But physically, as
well as for the very influence it brings, have those mental
forces - or gold - about self, of that pattern indicated -
and in the dress or the clothing, or as figures upon same
WORN about the body, but not in ornaments, the fleur de lis!
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
8/12/39 Letter from [
1770] to EC: "...Poor Mrs. [
1921] -
she writes that she feels that her reading is in complete
error for Mr. [
1821]'s attitude towards her is of absolute
ingratitude, unappreciation and as far as she can see he has
very little remorse for his treatment of her. She writes
'There is no longer any basis for even friendship and my
reading urges me to continue friendship and adds that the
closer the association, the better for both of us.' Poor
dear, she is suffering and will continue to do so until she
can rise above her personal feelings. I wrote her: 'You
feel now that your reading is in error because [
1821] does
not conform to your point of view. Haven't you overlooked a
very important sentence in your reading upon which a great
deal hinges? Something about the greater determining factors
in the mind and activities of [
1821]? We humans see only
what we want to see and invariably we blame someone else for
our sorrows and heartaches. I want to help her if I can but
I realize also that she must try to help herself and that can
never come while she holds such feelings of bitterness and
retaliation. I somehow feel that sooner or later
understanding and enlightenment will bring her peace of mind
and of spirit..."
8/16/39 Letter from EC to [
1770]: "...Am sorry about Mrs.
[
1921] - do hope she will find herself, for it is a fearful
thing to be so disturbed as she must be. ...This business of
becoming possessive in our minds, does bring torment when we
wish to change peoples' lives, or when we are troubled by
their way of thinking..."
