TEXT

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, - we have those desires and those seekings of the body, [1948], necessarily some changes have come about - by time.
Now as we find, the causes or the deep sources that cause disturbances or infectious forces at times, and the conditions from which inflammation comes that causes pressures through the system, are disturbances in the nerve forces as well as the activities to the sensory forces; causing some disturbance with the organs of the sensory system.
All of these, as we find, arise from that which has produced a form of humor in the blood stream, that is tending to make for a form of strep; though should not become of the nature as to reduce to too great an extent, owing to the applications of conditions in the body, as to cause too great a stress on or towards anemia, - but there is a form of same.
The neuritic condition that arises from the poisons or pressures in the areas in the system has been produced from this same source of disturbance.
Also the conditions with the upsetting of the digestive forces at times, and those inclinations for the formations of caking as it were in portions of the abdomen, and through the stomach and duodenum area (not ulcerations nor lacerations, nor even of the stringy formations, but rather inclination for a caking or thickening of tissue in same), - all of these arise from the catarrhal conditions which have existed in throat, and nasal passages, and of such natures as the drippings or the activities of same with the saliva; reducing the activity of the salivary glands as well as increasing the flow that comes to portions of the stomach.
As we find, then, there should be the correction of those inclinations for subluxations in the upper portion of the dorsal area and throughout the cervical areas. These would be given to set up drainages, and especially for the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area; coordinating the rest of the centers, - that is, specifically the 9th dorsal and lumbar axis, - about once each week with the treatments; and these should be given twice to three times a week, until at least fifteen or sixteen are taken.
Also we would cleanse the colon with colonic irrigations, about twice in the first month, then afterwards about once a month until five or six have been taken altogether.
About every ten days or two weeks (not oftener) we would have the very LOW form of diathermy, and not too long at a time; just sufficient to stimulate the impulses of the circulatory forces in the heating of same through the system, to assist in alleviating the CAUSES of same in the areas indicated.
Hence with the stimulation osteopathically, and the alleviation of the disturbance by the removing of the pressures and setting up drainages, we should bring nearer normal conditions to this body of [1948].
These we would do.
In the diet we would have less of fats, more of raw vegetables. At least one meal each day should consist chiefly of raw, fresh vegetables. No fried foods. No white bread. Plenty of figs, dates and such natures. These act as an aid in overcoming this disturbance which has been produced throughout the alimentary canal.
Do that.
Ready for questions.
Do as given, and we will bring better forces for this body.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

6/26/39 [1948]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce; Asso. for Research and Enlightenment; Virginia Beach. Virginia;
Dear Mr. Cayce;
In reply to your letter of June 22nd; July 5th, 10:30 to 11:30 D.S.T. will suit me very well. I shall be (D.V.) at ... and will try to the best of my ability to co-operate with you. There may be some questions that I will send you later, but at present I feel that questions may side-track the main issue;
Very sincerely yours, [1948]

7/17/39 [1948]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce;
Dear Mr. Cayce;
In regard to your letter and report of your reading on July 5th, I hardly know what to write you. Your recommendations apply largely to my digestive tract, and as far as I know, it seems to be the one item of my anatomy that has always been amazingly good. I have had hay fever, off and on, for many years and something in the way of trouble in my nasal passages, but nothing really troublesome, but whoever looked me over, seems to have discovered that. My real troubles were not mentioned at all. It may be that the reason for this is that nothing can be done about them. I have found osteopathic treatments agreeable, and good for my general health, but this applies to nearly everyone, I suppose.
In any event, I am glad we had the reading, and when the Fall comes and I can arrange to do so, I plan to take your letter to my osteopath and go over the matter with him.
With best wishes;
Truly yours; Mr. [1948]
7/20/39 EC's letter to [1948]:
Dear Mr. [1948]
Thank you for yours of the 17th - you may be exactly right that there seemingly is no connection between the digestive tract and the hay-fever, but there have been several instances during our experience where such conditions were caused more from that than from other causes - and with the character of correction suggested cleared. However appreciate your giving us your interpretation of the try. Hope you have no trouble with getting this cleared from your system.
Thanking you and hoping to be of a service.
Sincerely Edgar Cayce
11/09/39 [1948]'s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce; Virginia Beach; Virginia;
Dear Mr. Cayce;
Since July 7th, when I received your report on my physical condition, things have been piled up to such an extent that I have not really had an opportunity to follow your suggestions in regard to osteopathic treatment.
For the next few months, I wish to see what results may result from such treatment, and I find, that I have put away your letter so securely that I can't find it.
Do you file your reports In a way that will enable you to send me a copy of the report and also the instructions for the osteopath? If so, I shall much appreciate having you send me a copy.
Very sincerely, and with best wishes;
Mr. [1948]
