9/07/39 Husband's letter:
Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce,-
Please forgive me for not writing before, but as you know
we have been pretty busy and have been waiting for the
[
1602]'s to go in order to start the treatment you
recommended in Mrs. [
1987]'s reading.
Due to Mrs. [
1602]'s generosity we are sending for the
Radio-Active Appliance to-morrow morning and will begin
the treatments one week from to-day as that is the time
the [
1602]'s are expecting to leave at that time.
Now, Mr. Cayce, we both have a lot of faith in you and the
Reading and we will both try to do our part in this venture,
and will let you know from time to time as we progress.
Thanking you again with all our hearts
Yours very truly [...]
9/07/39 Mrs. [
1602]'s letter to EC: "...[...] 'my man' and
his wife - are elated over the prospects of better health
for her. We are sending today for the appliance specified
in the reading. We have not hurried on that score because
while we are around here they have little time for leisure.
I make sure of that. But soon we are gone - and they will
begin the prescribed treatments. They are grateful to you
beyond words to express and I am sure, will be conscientious
to the last degree. [...] intends writing you almost any
minute now..."
10/13/39 Husband's letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce,-
Perhaps you may think it has taken us a long time to write
you and let you know how we are progressing, but we have
both been pretty busy closing the place up, and preparing
it for winter that we have continued to put off the writing
part.
We started the treatments on the first of the month and the
only difficulty we had was with the Olive Oil and Myrrh
making the mistake of having the Druggist put the two,
together at the store. They would not mix, but found after
checking the Reading that the oil had to be heated before
adding the Myrrh.
This we did by getting more.
Mrs. [
1987]'s leg near the knee aches to some extent shortly
after I start the massage, but stops shortly afterwards. We
feel that this may be a healing condition.
Mrs. [
1602] writes me that she had a pleasant stay at the
Beach and is now busy getting settled in New York.
Trusting you are enjoying good health and thanking you again
Yours very truly [...]
3/04/40 Mrs. [
1602]'s letter to EC: "...She had a miscarriage
but when she wrote she was well again. They have had a most
terrible winter as far as weather goes..."
