(Q) Is the Cod Liver Oil and milk sufficient to sustain
proper teeth structure?
(A) Here we would find that Calcios would be a better
product; though this should NOT necessarily mean the leaving
off of the Cod Liver Oil. For THIS body, however, we
find that the White's Cod Liver Oil tablets will be
much preferable; one tablet taken EVERY day.
The Calcios - just about what would cover a cracker as
butter, you see, three times each week - would be sufficient.
The milk - preferably this should NOT be combined with other
things.
Cereals are well, ESPECIALLY the Maltex and steel cut oats.
(Q) Are the following foods good in the diet: Bananas?
(A) No!
(Q) Ice Cream?
(A) Good.
(Q) Egg yolk?
(A) Very good.
(Q) Cakes?
(A) Depends on the character of the cakes!
(Q) Ginger snaps?
(A) Occasionally, but not too often. Lemon snaps are
better.
(Q) Potatoes?
(A) If that close to the skin is taken, and not too much of
the pulp, very good.
(Q) Honey?
(A) This is fair, but much of the honeycomb should be
included.
(Q) Is there a candy or sweet that would not be harmful in
the diet?
(A) The chocolate or the fudge that is prepared at some
institutions as preparations for such conditions would be
very well. But that as would be prepared with honey and
peanuts would not be harmful.
(Q) Any other advice?
(A) Do these consistently. As given, a little trouble will
be indicated at the first, but afterwards we will see better
developments in every manner.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
Parents requested the reading chiefly because of a stubborn
skin condition that would not clear up. Dr. S. L. Johns said
it was due to Carnation milk formula used over long period of
time, being too rich - it had been the same with other
patients.
